Success Index Graduation Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here.  The card I am sharing with you uses the Raisin Boat Opportunity Knocks stamp set.  I made this one for my oldest son who is having his 6th grade graduation next week!
I used chalk paper to stamp the Opportunity Knocks stamps onto with VersaMark ink.  I then embossed with white embossing powder.  It turned out great!  All the papers are from the DCWV DIY Chalk Party stack.  I did use Tombow Xtreme adhesive on this card because the chalk papers are a little tougher to keep stuck together.
I added some Totally Lemon Trendy Twine around the center band, plus made a tassel out of it as well.  A few GMD New Years sparkle enamel dots and the card was finished!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Rocket Grad Card

Good Morning!  Happy first day of May!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  The card I am sharing with you uses the Raisin Boat Opportunity Knocks stamp set.  It is a great set for graduations and other school related projects.
This card started with watercolor paper and did an acrylic block watercolor technique (you can see a video with a how-to here) and Distress Inks in Fired Brick, Mustard Seed, and Salty Ocean.  Once dry, I stamped the rocket and sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I used my embossing buddy on the top of the paper, then stamped the stars with VersaMark and heat embossed them with white powder.  I added doodles with black and white gel pens.  The only embellishments were Pearl Pens in black, blue, and red.  Products also used on this card include ATG, solid colored cardstock, and GMD Stitched rectangle dies.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Graduations Galore

This weekend is graduation in my neck of the woods, and since my husband is a teacher, I've been busy making graduation cards! These are just a few of the 30ish cards I need for this year's graduation.

Congratulations and best of luck to all the graduates out there, and, of course, Happy Mother's Day to all you mommas!

See below each picture for a brief description of the product and techniques used for each card.

For this card, I used Yupo paper and alcohol inks for the background. I cut out my papers from a stitched rectangular die using my Evolution Advanced Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. I added some black shimmer trim, then stamped my chalkboard, stars and sentiments from the awesome Raisin Boat Chalk it Up stamp set.

For this card, I made my background using the amazing distress oxide inks. I added the too cool sentiment and then stamped some fun sentiments from the Raisin Boat Chalk it Up stamp set. To finish it off, I added some square rhinestones.

For this card, I got out my embossing machine and used a splatter embossing folder. I chalked over the embossed part and then followed that up with a glitter brush. I added the You Did It sentiment from the Raisin Boat Chalk it Up stamp set.

I was going for the chalkboard look with this card, and love how it turned out! I had the colored piece leftover from another project. I had colored it with distress oxide inks and a brush. I stamped on my black card base with the Raisin Boat Chalk it Up stamp set in white ink to make it look like a chalkboard. I had to heat set my ink since it was a pigment ink. To finish it off, I added some coordinating fibers and some green stickles.

Simple card here. I used the Victorine Originals Small Graduation Cap and Congratulations stamps. I colored the hat in with chalk and then I added some adhesive circles in coordinating colors.

I am loving foiling! I used the Victorine Originals small Happy Graduation stamp and some gold foil for the sentiment of this card. I cut out my papers from a stitched rectangular die using my Evolution Advanced Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. For my background, I used the distress oxides, again, and then went over them with a gold shimmer brush. I added some fibers to finish off the card.

I love this card and I'm loving the splatter embossing folder I recently purchased. I embossed the card base, and then colored in the splatters with a brush and distress oxide inks. Then I splattered a bit more with my brush. I added some black shimmer trim and my sentiment from the Raisin Boat Opportunity Knocks stamp set.

Branching out from the green and gold color scheme (can you guess our school's colors?), I used some washi tape to make a simple design. I stamped my sentiment using the Victorine Originals Graduation Congratulations stamp and inked the edge of that paper with a distress oxide ink. Then, I splattered some of that ink all over the card. I embossed the card base with some polka dots to give it a little extra.

Thanks for looking at my graduation cards! I'd love to see what you're working on! Don't forget to check out our current mood board challenge.  Happy creating!
