Dreamer

Dreamer!!

Good Morning crafty friends.
I here
today to share a
Mixed media canvas I made using one of the new releases.
A Rose by any other name.

I used one of the Rose stamps.
I stamped my image on a craft cardstock and colored it using Spectrum Noir color pencils. I fussy cut it out and set aside.
Using a blank canvas, I added gesso to seal my canvas and using stencils with whipped spackle I was able to add some texture.
I painted with colorbursts, adding water with a spray bottle until I was happy with the look.
After drying I added a dream catcher that I had fixed back up and added my stamped image to it.
This stamp set is amazing and Beautiful!
I then added a few metal finding peices from my stash and the word dreamer.

Life is a Voyage

Life is a Voyage

Hey crafty friends...
Im here today to share my inspiration project for the current Mood Board Challenge.
I chose to inspire you with a mixed media canvas.

Here is our Mood Board

Here is my project to inspire you.

Using Victorine Originals Map Background stamp, I first stamped my image.
I decided to cut it and make two peices of a map.
Using gesso and my DecoArt paints I created a background color on canvas.
I then attached my map peices.
I used moss and twine as well as a few things from my stash.
I didn't intend for this to go more ocean themed but that's the beauty of art.  Sometimes things just are going to be what they want.

Remember you can use anything from the mood board to inspire you.
Something from a picture or even a color.

Make sure you head over and join in the fun.

Enjoy Life

Enjoy Life

Good morning crafty friends.  Amy here for my Monday post.

Life has sure become busy.  Seems like we are being pulled in one direction and then the other.
Do you get the chance to remind yourself to
Just enjoy life?

I think we all need to do this in our lives.
Just stop and enjoy what is going on around us.
This is what inspired my small canvas I made for today.
I just need to remind myself to be still, smell the flowers, enjoy nature, the quiet, the birds chirping.

I painted my canvas in black, then stamped the large stemmed daisy by Victorine Originals in red paint.
I added some texture using a stencil.
Almost to look like a path.
Added some distressed papers and stamped this cute bicycle from the Bicycle set w/ Penny Farthing
I also stamped the daisy on different papers and fussy cut them out.
You can find the product list on my blog at thetigershaven.blogspot.com

My project also goes with the current Mood Board Challenge we have going on.

Heres a look at the Mood Board

I hope you will join us for your chance to win!!! Link up your projects today, you only have a few days left.

I hope you find time to enjoy life.
Stop and smell the flowers.

Be Mine Canvas

Be mine
Canvas

Hey crafty friends,
Amy here to share a Valentine canvas with you.
I used Victorine Originals I love you heart and Be Mine, Valentine stamps.

I started out with a flat canvas, added texture using gesso.
After that dried, I painted the canvas using alot of color.
With our recent challenge, it challenged me to add red to my projects, which is something I don't normally do.
I do like the look of red bleeding thru the canvas in areas.
I then colored my cardboard peice and stamped it.
Looking thru my stash, I was able to find many valentine related pieces to add.
After finding the right spot for everything, I glued everything down to the canvas.
I stamped the Be Mine portion of the stamp to add additional wording.

Simply Me Dreamcatcher

Simply Me
Dreamcatcher

Hello crafty friends, Amy here from thetigershaven. For my first post here on the Victorine Originals blog, I decided to do something I am comfortable doing, a mixed media canvas using the Dream catcher stamp.

When I first saw this stamp, I fell in love with it. It's simple and beautiful.

Starting out with a 6X6 canvas, I added blues using Decoart media (cyan, turquoise &teal).  I then speckled paint around the background as well as the flowers I added later with cyan, white & magenta. As I was waiting for that to dry, I grabbed a price of brown cardstock & rubbed it down with Tim Holtz Distress paint-walnut stain, then stamped my image in white & then black. Tearing around the image to give it the look I wanted. I used Ken Olivers, color burst to add color to a white lace like paper I had.
After finding all the accessories from my stash and the perfect wood veneer saying by simple stories, I began to place everything together, moving peices around until they found their spot on the canvas.

I hope you've enjoyed my post today, I have added a list of all supplies used on my post over on my blog
Thank you for coming by and don't forget to check out our challenge going on right now here on the blog. Please join in & show us your take on father's.
Hugs
