Crocus Craving Stamps Free with Purchase!

Hello friends!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here.  For a while I will be posting for the on Sundays instead of my regular Wednesdays.  We will be having weekend promos in which a certain stamp set will be free with your order of $35+.  Awesome, right?!  This weekend, through Monday, you can get the SMF Crocus Craving stamp set at no cost if you make a $35+ order.  Here is what I made for inspiration:

I stamped the large flower from Crocus Craving in black onto watercolor cardstock.  Using a post-it note, I masked off the bottom of the crocus bud stamp and also stamped it onto the paper with a stamp platform.  I then watercolored the image with Scrapbook.com hybrid inks in Rubber Ducky, Mardi Gras, and Pine.  The sentiment is also from the Crocus Craving set.  I mounted the image onto gradient colors of purple cardstock that were die cut with GMD stitched rectangle dies.  To finish the card, I added three small rhinestones in the top right corner.

Here is a look at the Crocus Craving stamp set:
How do you get it for free?? To claim this deal, simply add Crocus Craving to your shopping cart and continue shopping at SumMore Fun.  Once your order *excluding* Crocus Craving reaches a subtotal of $35, Crocus Craving will automatically be marked down!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Cherry Blossom Cards

Hello and welcome to another Wednesday with Beth from Beth's Beauties!  I don't know about you, but I definitely have spring fever!  These cards use the exact same stamp sets that I used for last week's card, the Raisin Boat Cherry Blossom and No Loss For Words stamp sets.  I was having so much fun with this layout, I created 4 cards with the same style.
Here is a close up of one of the cards.  I will describe the process I followed to create these cards.  First of all, I used a sharp scissors to snip apart the large stamp from the Raisin Boat Cherry Blossom set.  I isolated the blossoms from the greenery so I could stamp the colors separately.  I laid the stamps out where I wanted them on the cardstock panel and placed it in my stamp platform.  I removed the flower stamps then only stamped the green areas with Olive ink.  I did that 4 times for all the cards before removing the greenery stamps and adding the flowers to the stamp platform.  For the flowers, I covered them with the lighter ink and stamped.  Then I added the darker ink just around the edges of the flowers and re-stamped creating the two-tone effect.
At the bottom of the card, I stamped the sentiment from the No Loss For Words set in black ink.  Then I wrapped Trendy Twine around the white area, also adding a bow.  The final touch was a few enamel dots.  I then added the stamped panel to a scalloped rectangle die cut in a coordinating color before adding it all to the card base.
The specific supplies I used for these cards are as follows:

Purple:
  • SB.com inks- Parisian Purple, Mardi Gras, Olive, Black
  • Grape Fizz Trendy Twine
  • Purple Trio enamel dots
  • purple cardstock
Pink:
  • SB.com inks- Pink Flamingo, Confetti Pink, Olive, Black
  • Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine
  • Unicorn Sparkle enamel dots
  • bright pink cardstock

Coral:
  • SB.com inks- Pink Lemonade, Havana Red, Olive, Black
  • Posy Trendy Twine
  • Watermelon enamel dots
  • coral cardstock
Yellow:
  • SB.com inks- Rubber Ducky, Daffodil, Olive, Black
  • Totally Lemon Trendy Twine
  • Mai Tai enamel dots
  • yellow cardstock

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Foiled Floral Cards

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  The cards I am sharing with you use the Victorine Originals Floral and Sayings stamp set.
On these cards, I tried my hand at foiling for the first time!  I love the shiny metallic finish it gives, but it is hard to capture that in photos.  For this anniversary card, I stamped the floral bouquet from the Floral and Sayings stamp set onto white paper using VersaMark ink and heat embossed with regular white embossing powder.  I always use my stamp platform when embossing!  I then ran the stamped paper with a piece of foil (shiny side up) through my laminator (no carrier sheet).  When the paper was cool, I peeled off the foil to reveal the image!
I used various oval dies to cut around the floral design and added a Happy Anniversary sticker to the center.  I embellished with Pearl Pen dots in Gold and Ice White and white seam binding ribbon.
For my second card, I followed the same foiling process except I used an ultrafine embossing powder and it gave a more bold foiled image.  I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Floral and Sayings stamp set in black.  I added a double bow of Pink Midnight Trendy Twine in the bottom right corner.
See that metallic shine?!  It definitely makes an eye-catching card!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Football Birthday Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  I'm back with another masculine card to share this week!  It uses the Raisin Boat First Down and Varsity Locker stamp sets from SumMore Fun
I started by stamping the football field stamp from RB First Down using Lucky Clover Distress Oxide ink.  I used colored pencil to shade in the goal posts.  Next, I stamped the football onto kraft cardstock using brown ink, then cut around it using my Brother Scan N Cut.  I shaded the football tee with white gel pen.  I popped that off of the football field panel with foam tape.  The sentiment was from the RB Varsity Locker stamp set and I stamped that in black.  Other products used include Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles embossing folder, Gridiron washi tape, solid color cardstocks, and Glue Dots permanent premium gluetape runner.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Fun Happy Birthday Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  The card I am sharing with you uses the beautiful Victorine Originals Happy Birthday stamp.
I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto patterned paper from The Paper Studio's Treat Yourself 6"x6" paper pad.  I trimmed that into a large banner shape and layered it with black cardstock.  I wrapped Totally Lemon Trendy Twine around the banner and added dots of Pearl Pen (Pearl Pink) on the banner before mounting it with foam tape onto the card base.  I just love how that Happy Birthday stamp makes such a bold statement on the card!

Remember, we have this Mood Board Challenge going on right now! Here is the inspiration photo for it. You can use the pictures, theme, and/or colors to enter.

Musical Birthday Wishes....

Hello & Happy Thursday Everyone!
DT Theresa here from Theresa's Crafty Creations
and it's my day to take over the blog! YAY!!

 I thought I would share a Birthday card -

I went ALL Rainbow on you guys! LOL

I'm using my Distress Oxides inks - Candied Apple, Squeezed Lemonade,
Lucky Clover, Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch, & Wilted Violet

I started out by blending all my colors together on a piece of white cardstock
then letting it dry completely
Once it was dry I stamped the Music Background with some
versamark ink and poured some Ultra Fine White
Embossing powder over it and heat set it -
Then I die cut it out with a Stitched Postage Frame Die -

I die cut a Stitched Frame Die with some White Cardstock
Then I grabbed a piece of Vellum and stamped the
Happy Birthday Sentiment right onto it with
some black onyx versafine ink and poured some ultra
black embossing powder over it and heat set it -

I thought the Black Embossing on the vellum would stand out
a little better over my rainbow background -

I attached the vellum with some liquid glue behind the
Happy Birthday Sentiment (So it wouldn't show through) then
I wanted a sweet bow, so I grabbed some Berry Trendy Twine
and tied it on the lower portion of my Postage frame
I adhered it to my white piece then attached it to my black cardbase.
For a little extra bling I used some Rainbow Jewels from Lucy's Cards.

Shooting Star Wishes...

Hello & Happy Thursday Everyone!
DT Theresa Here from Theresa's Crafty Creations
and it's my day to take over the blog!!!

I thought I would share a Shooting Star with ya-

With School starting back up in about 6 weeks
I thought I would get a Jumpstart on
some of the Birthday Cards I make for the Faculty -

I'm using the Celestial (10603-X) Stamp set

I used my Distress oxide inks in Candied Apple, Carved
Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Lucky Clover, Blueprint
Sketch, & Wilted Violet

I just basically stamped the shooting star stamp
down the front of my white card front - Trying to give it
a Rainbow look

Then I took a Stitched Rectangle Die and die cut
around it for a more finished look

I wanted my background to stand out so I took a strip
of Vellum and wrapped it around the card front

I looked thru my entire die cutting collection and
realized I didn't own a "Wishing" word Die (WHAT?)

So I went to my Cameo and Typed out the word using the
(CluffHMK Bold) Font  - Before I cut the word out I took
a piece of White Cardstock and Covered it with
the Wilted Violet Distress Ink
This was so my word die would match my card &
go with my Rainbow theme design -

I used my Heat tool to dry the ink completely before
putting it in my Die cutting machine - Then cut out the word
3x's so it would stand out on my card -

Then I stamped the rest of the sentiment (You the Best)
from the Flourishing Thoughts (10271-Z) Raisin Boat
Stamp set - I had to cover up the Cursive Wishing word
before I stamped the rest onto my vellum

I adhered the card front onto a piece of White Fun Foam
for added dimension and then attached it to a black
card base - I needed a little bling so I added a couple
of Clear Adhesive gems
And Now I've got another Birthday card to
scratch off my to-do list!! :)

Birthday cards

Hello! Jamie here with more birthday cards. I'm so glad to be building up my stash of these cards, as I always need them, but never have enough made.

Distress oxide inks are quickly becoming some of my favorite inks. Paired with the large Happy Birthday stamp from Victorine Originals, they make a perfect card no matter what technique I use!

For this first card, I dry embossed a paisley pattern for the background of my card. Then I used my distress oxide inks to color in the background with a blending tool. To make the colors blend more together, I took some of that distress oxide ink on a wet paintbrush and flicked it all over my card in the same colors of the background.

I stamped that beautiful Happy Birthday stamp on a white scrap of paper. I didn't like the look of the straight ink, so I traced over the happy birthday in a coordinating color with my amazing Kirarina Wink Glitter markers.

Then I used the same "flicking" method to splatter that white paper. I matted the sentiment on purple paper and popped it up on the card with adhesive foam. To finish it off, I attached some metal curly embellishments.

For my second card, I again used the distress oxide inks, but I applied them directly to my paper. Then I "flicked" more colors over top of it. After that was dry, I random stamped the Victorine Originals Festively Wrapped gift stamp to finish my background.

I stamped the Happy Birthday stamp on white card stock, and matted it on a pink. Then I added some two-tone twine to the left side of my card to finish it off.

For my final birthday card, I stuck with the distress oxide inks, but wanted a more masculine card. I started by directly applying the ink to my cardstock, then I sprayed it with water. '

I wanted a more textured look, so I used the Victorine Originals Lined Background stamp. First, I just got the stamp wet with water and stamped it over the background. Then, I used ink to stamp again randomly over the background.

I added a strip of brown cardstock, that I had distressed the edges, to the bottom of the card. I "flicked" it with blue distress oxide ink and added some adhesive triangles.

For my sentiment, I used the Victorine Originals Happy Birthday stamp. I put it on kraft cardstock and then popped that up on the card. I added some splatters of blue to it to finish it off.

Thanks for checking out my birthday creations! Have a wonderfully crafty day!

Go Wild!

Good morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog today.
I'm going a little wild today - well I would be if the raccoons hadn't over eaten:

The cheeky chappies have raided a bin and are now in a food coma!!
I used the Raccoons stamp and colored them with Copic markers on white card stock. I then matted a white card base with kraft card and some spotted design paper. I used the 'go wild' and 'Happy Birthday' sentiments from the Happy Camper stamp set around my image and then matted it with kraft card before placing it at an angle on my card. I added a few enamel dots just to balance the design.
Here's a closer look at the trash bandits:

Aren't they just adorable?
