Thinking of You!

Hi and welcome, everyone. Thanks for joining us here on the blog. Today I'm sharing a bright card full of daisies done with colored pencils. I will admit this was my first time using colored pencils and I'm in love.

HOW - TO

  • start with Strathmore Toned Tan paper
  • stamp the large daisy using white pigment ink, let dry
  • using detail blending tool blend Distress Oxides - Twisted Citron and Forest Moss in the center of the flowers
  • using colored pencils color the flowers yellow, blue, and pink
  • die-cut colored image using a 4.125" x 5.25" rectangle die
  • add white fun foam to the back and adhere to a 4.25" x 5.5" #110 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card base
  • stamp sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink onto to #80 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, trim down
  • add 3D mounting foam to the back of the sentiment and adhere to card
  • finish off with sequins

As always, thanks for joining me today.

Enjoy Life

Enjoy Life

Good morning crafty friends.  Amy here for my Monday post.

Life has sure become busy.  Seems like we are being pulled in one direction and then the other.
Do you get the chance to remind yourself to
Just enjoy life?

I think we all need to do this in our lives.
Just stop and enjoy what is going on around us.
This is what inspired my small canvas I made for today.
I just need to remind myself to be still, smell the flowers, enjoy nature, the quiet, the birds chirping.

I painted my canvas in black, then stamped the large stemmed daisy by Victorine Originals in red paint.
I added some texture using a stencil.
Almost to look like a path.
Added some distressed papers and stamped this cute bicycle from the Bicycle set w/ Penny Farthing
I also stamped the daisy on different papers and fussy cut them out.
You can find the product list on my blog at thetigershaven.blogspot.com

My project also goes with the current Mood Board Challenge we have going on.

Heres a look at the Mood Board

I hope you will join us for your chance to win!!! Link up your projects today, you only have a few days left.

I hope you find time to enjoy life.
Stop and smell the flowers.

Thanks for stopping by
Hugs
Amy

Flower Box

Good morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog today.

Today's card is a folding flower box creating using 2 stamp sets:

I made up a card box and decorated this with pretty pink, white and turquoise papers. I then used the Curly Cute Stamp set to stamp out a number of flowers and framed flowers in the same colors. The frames were cut out and placed around each side of the box. I fussy cut the single flowers and glued these to strips of acetate and attached them at different heights inside the box.

I then stamped the frame again and added a sentiment from the Brush Floral stamp set into the center of this. Again this was cut out and added to the back of the box:

The box is made in such away that it will fold and fit inside a 6x6in envelope.

The colors look darker if the photos but they are perfect for the moodboard challenge over on the blog:

Hello from the Heart

Good morning, Sharon from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog today. This cold weather looks as though it is in for the duration of winter here so I thought I'd brighten up the day with some flowers.

These little flowers and sentiment are from the Brush Floral set. I stamped the flowers using aqua markers and fussy cut them, there are plenty of other flowers and leaves among the set but I wanted a simple look. I added white enamel dots to the centers and shaped them before adding them to my wreath. my white card base was matted with 2 shades of purple card. and I adhered the wreath and flowers in place. My sentiment, stamped with purple ink on white card, was also matted with purple and added slightly under one of the flowers. A few purple enamels completed my design.

The Flowers Say Sentiment is also available as a stand alone stamp and would make a great addition to a sentiment collection if you didn't want the flowers

Don't forget our moodboard challenge is try something new this time - we all have new stash, new ideas or want to try new techniques so it's an easy one to start the year!

Just For You

Happy Sunday, everyone and welcome. Today I'm sharing a simple design that reminded me of some of my first cards minus the sequins, of course. Do you ever look back at past projects to see how far along you've progressed? For me the difference is night and day.

Using the Victorine Originals Just For You sentiment and Flowers stamp, I stamped the image  and sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black Ink, add a little color with Zig Pens, die-cut an oval to frame image, adhered with 3D mounting foam, finished off with sequins. So simple, just the way I like it lately.

As always, thanks for joining us!
