Sunflower Thanks

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). Thank you for stopping by the blog today! If you haven't been to the SumMore Fun store lately, you might want to check it out. The prices are great as the liquidation sale continues and supplies are limited.

If you were here on the blog last week, you saw a card I made using the Victorine Originals Large Sunflower stamp set. If you didn't see it and would like to, you can do so by going HERE. It really is a fabulous stamp. So I've decided to give myself a little challenge and at the same time. I'm going to use that same MARVELOUS stamp for each of my Saturday cards this month, using it in different ways each time. (I've not thought past this week, but surely I can make this work.)

Last week I used the paper-piecing technique. This week I partially stamping the sunflower repeatedly.

In retrospect I wish I had stamped the flower three times instead of four, but it was too late. Once stamped, one cannot un-stamp. So four it is. (It looks too balanced this way - three really would have been better!)

The sentiment is from the Flourishing Sentiments stamp set.

Thanks again for stopping by!

Be sure to come back again next week to see what I do with the Large Sunflower stamp then.

If you're interested in purchasing this GREAT stamp, you'll find it HERE.

I hope you have SumMore Fun today!

Hello from My Two Lips

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). Thank you for stopping by the blog today!

Spring is in the Air! Tulips and Daffodils have made their way through the ground (still a while until they are ready to bloom, but at least we see them coming to life). Robins are plentiful. My husband says it won't be long and he'll be mowing the grass. YES! I am so excited! I am so ready for Spring! So much so that I made a Spring-like card to share with you today.

The tulips are from the Raisin Boat Bunny Hop stamp set, you can see the stamp set HERE. The Hello is from another Raisin Boat stamp set (Flourishing Thoughts) but unfortunately I think it is currently out of stock.

Thanks again for stopping by!

I Can't Thank You Enough

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). Thank you for stopping by the blog today!

I made a quick card this week using the gorgeous horse from the Raisin Boat Giddy Up! stamp set. If you're like me, sometimes there just isn't enough time to get everything done. This was one of those weeks. Quick and easy makes me happy - I still get to make a card, even when there isn't much time.

Sentiment - Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts

Tractor Birthday Card

Welcome to another Wednesday project from Beth's Beauties!  This time I have a masculine card to share that uses the Raisin Boat Homegrown and Flourishing Thoughts stamp sets.
First of all, I stamped the awesome tractor stamp from the Raisin Boat Homegrown set with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. Once that was dry, I used watercolor pencils and a water brush to add the color.  The panel was die cut with a GMD stitched rectangle die, then matted with a black rectangle die cut with a GMD wonky stitched rectangle die.  The panel was popped up with foam tape onto the card base.
The patterned papers in TPS Yee-Haw! paper pad were perfect for this card.  The sentiment was from the Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp set and was stamped with SB.com Succulent ink.  To embellish, I added burlap ribbon and dots of silver Pearl Pen (which were not centered like I had originally intended...oops!).  I guess imperfection is part of life, right?
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Happy Birthday Crocus

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). Thank you for stopping by the blog today!

I love flowers - the coloring kind. They are perfect year-round. Even when there is snow on the ground.

This gorgeous flower is from the SumMore Fun Crocus Craving stamp set. The sentiment is from the Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp set.

I used another stamp from the Crocus Craving set, plus the Happy Birthday sentiment from the same set on the inside of my card...

I Can't Thank You Enough

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). Thank you for stopping by the blog today!

I hope you had a marvelous Christmas and that 2020 is starting off well for you.

If you're like me, you have some Thank You notes that need to be sent - people have been so kind to me and my family this past couple of weeks and I want to let them know I appreciate them.

No problem. We're card-makers, after all, so putting together a Thank You card doesn't have to be a difficult task.

The gorgeous horse on this card is from the Raisin Boat Giddy Up! stamp set and the sentiment is from the Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp set. I just love the font used for that sentiment, don't you?

Oh, and did I mention? Both of these stamp sets are marked way down in the liquidation sale!

I'm Praying for You

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today. I am a firm believer that sometimes all you need is a great sentiment to make a card. Well, a great sentiment and some papers and maybe an embellishment. That's exactly what today's card is.

The sentiment is from the Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp set.

You Make Such a Difference

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today. For today's card I used a very subtle/soft color scheme with a bit of bright rose red.

The image is from the Victorine originals Floral and Sayings stamp set (one of my most favorite VO stamp sets) and the sentiment is from the Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp set. I love how the sentiment fits perfectly in the space.

Train Birthday Card

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with this train birthday card.  The Victorine Originals 1502 train stamp is one I have had for several years...in fact when I created with this stamp a couple of years ago and shared it on Facebook, it started the ball rolling for me to be a part of the SumMore Fun design team!
I started by stamping the train onto gray flecked cardstock using VersaFine Onyx Black ink and my stamp platform.  I wanted the front part of the train track to stick out from the circle die cut, so I fussy cut around that area and traced around the outline of the die so I would know where I wanted the stamp to end up.
Then I slid the circle die under the area of the train track that I had fussy cut and lined up the die with the circle I had drawn on the paper.  I then die cut it with my Spellbinders Platinum 6.
Here it is all matted with a black circle and popped up with foam tape on the card.  I used torn edge dies as well as patterned and metallic papers to add to the rustic feel of the card.
I thought the card needed a sentiment, so I got out the Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp set and stamped it in black on the gray flecked paper I used Gray Licorice Trendy Twine and Black Pearl Pen dots for embellishments.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Rose Anniversary Card

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  This card features the SumMore Fun A Rose By Any Other Name and Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp sets.
I started by stamping the corner rose stamp from A Rose By Any Other Name with my stamp platform and VersaMark ink onto Park Lane Roses paper.  I embossed it with white powder and it really made a gorgeous look!  I then added a second rectangle of patterned paper from the same pack in the bottom left corner.
The sentiment from the Flourishing Thoughts stamp set was stamped in black, then die cut around with GMD crochet lace oval dies, as was the black layer. Those were popped up with foam tape, then I added Black Pearl Pen dots around it.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Unforgettable You

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today. Something you might not know about me - I'm rather fond of sunflowers. They are one of my favorite flowers (Tulips in the Spring, Rose Moss in the early Summer and Sunflowers in the late Summer). That means it's not surprising that Victorine Originals' Large Sunflower stamp is also one of my favorites.

I used this stamp a number of weeks ago and it was a joy to color (you can see that card HERE), but this time I decided to do some paper piecing instead. I like to fussy cut... and I think it looks great on this sunflower.

For some other inspiration from the design team using this gorgeous stamp, check out the link - HERE. There are so many different ways to use this stamp, trust me, you're going to want to see them.

The sentiment on my card is from the Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp set. It has so many GREAT sentiments on it and isn't that script gorgeous?

Teacup Hello Card

Hello all!  Welcome to another Wednesday.  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today with this card.  I used two stamp sets on it called Sundri's High Tea, and Flourishing Thoughts.
I created the card base with lots of patterned papers from Crate Paper's Pretty Party 6x6 paper pad, then went into the stamping.  In the top corner, I used navy blue ink to stamp two single roses from Sundri's High Tea.  I then colored them in with white gel pen so they would pop a little more off of the paper.
The focal point of the card consists of a teacup I stamped from Sundri's High Tea in navy blue on a white paper, then fussy cut it and popped it up on the doily.  I wanted a sentiment on the card, so I die cut two small tags and stamped a rose in tan from Sundri's High Tea on the small one and the "Hello" sentiment from Flourishing Thoughts in navy blue on the larger tag.  I added Totally Navy Trendy Twine to the tags then adhered them to the card with ATG.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Farmers Make Such a Difference

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today.

I live in the middle of farm country which has given me a first-hand view of the difficulties farmers have experienced this year, at least in our area. The weather has not been kind to them - flooding out crops or flooding even before the crops were planted.

Since they've been on my mind, I decided to use two Raisin Boat stamp sets (Homegrown and Flourishing Thoughts) to make a card to send to a good friend who is a farmer.

And here's a tip - when you go to the Victorine Originals (SumMore Fun) online store, be sure to check out the pricing options before you place the set in the shopping cart. Many of the stamp sets have a temporary liquidation price and/or a used price, either of which will save you some money.

But I digress. Here is my card...

I normally color with Copic markers, but for this card I chose to use my Prisma Watercolor Pencils instead.

The sentiments (the front and the inside) are both from the Flourishing Thoughts stamp set.

Speaking of the inside of my card, here it is...

Girl and Boy Baptism Cards

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  The cards I am sharing with you use two stamp sets from Raisin Boat; God's Child and Flourishing Thoughts.
I stamped the Baptismal gown from the God's Child set onto a panel of white cardstock with black ink.  I then added a die cut frame around it.  The sentiment is from the Flourishing Thoughts stamp set and was also stamped in black ink.
Here is a close up of the Baptismal gown panel.  I added clear glitter Wink Of Stella on it for extra sparkle!  The background panel was die cut using a scalloped stitched rectangle die.  As you can see, all of the papers I used (besides the white cardstock) have a pearlescent finish to them.  They are from The Paper Studio's Sophisticated Sparkle paper pad and they are so beautiful!
I also made a boy themed card just by switching the background paper and washi tape color.  The finishing touch for these cards was a trio of Ice White Pearl Pen dots in the top right corner.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
