Encouragement Cards

Hi and welcome, everyone! Today I'm sharing a quick encouragement card featuring Victorine Originals Double Take Umbrella. This is one of my favorite umbrella stamps on the market. It comes with two stamps the outline and a solid stamp for upper portion of the umbrella.

I love creating cards that are quick and easy, this card fills the bill. You could make several of the cards at once and use different sentiments. The stamp is great for under the weather and get well cards.

Stamp the umbrella on alcohol ink friendly cardstock, color the image using COPIC B39, B32, B34, C9 for shading the blue areas and G24, G43, G40 with G85 for shading the green areas. Fussy cut or use a scan n cut to cut images out, set aside. Die cut a piece of #80 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock with a rectangle die then run through machine with embossing folder, embossing only the top portion of the cardstock. Using a scoreboard score a line across cardstock beneath embossed area to create division between the embossed and smooth areas. Using a stamp position tool, stamp sentiments using Versafine Onyx Black ink. Adhere card panels to 4.25" x 5.5" top fold #110 Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock using fun foam or 3D mounting foam, add 3D mounting foam to the back of umbrellas and position them on card panel. Finish off with enamel dots and/or sequins.

Sail Your Ship Card

Happy Monday!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you, and today I am bringing you another nautical creation using Victorine Originals stamps!  This time it is a encouragement card.
I stamped the boat and sentiment from the Ship Set using Versafine Black Onyx ink.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks to color the paper in.  The colors I used were Antique Linen for the sand, Salty Ocean for the sky (using a hand cut "cloud" piece as a mask) and Peacock Feathers for the water (using a torn piece of cardstock as a mask).  Black Soot distress Ink added dimension to the outside of the panel.
Both rectangular pieces were cut using GMD stitched rectangle dies.  The background paper is from DCWV's Beach House stack.  The front panel is popped up with foam tape.  I stamped the ship a second time, fussy cut it and popped up up with foam tape as well for extra dimension.
Midnight Trendy Twine was the only embellishment I used on the card.
Here is a peek at the Ship stamp set!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
