Feature Friday with Lisa

Hi, everyone and welcome. Today I'm featuring the Victorine Originals Dots Stamp Set and sharing all the cards I've created with it, so far. I love this set because the possibilities are endless. As you will see, it's perfect for creating backgrounds, use it as the focal point of your card, it offers two great sentiments, and three of the dots have the words Happy, Joy, Love. You cannot go wrong with this set.
Dots Set (Unmounted Only) (10599-X)
Here I used the dots to create a fun background.
Here I used the dots and Happy Birthday sentiment as the focal point of my card.
Tip: Don't be scared to cut your stamps. The birthday sentiment comes like you see it above with one stripe on both sides. I carefully cut the stripes off and then split the sentiment giving me more options. Keep the stripes to create plaid backgrounds by pairing it with the bigger stripe.
Adding Red and Blue dots to the tags gave them a fun festive feel for my 4th of July goodies.

Using the sentiment as my focal point and stamping the dots with VersaMark ink for a tone on tone background.

I created a fun background for my nautical themed card just by using the large stripe and changing ink colors.

This next card is my absolute favorite. I love this technique of adding ink to the stamps in a swiping motion, it really changes things. I have a video tutorial on my blog, The Relativity of Paper.

As you can see the possibilities truly are endless with this amazing stamp set making this a must have in my book. Already have this stamp set? Please be sure to share your projects with us on our Facebook Page or by using @victorineoriginals on Instagram.

One Layer Rainbow Inspired Birthday Card

Hi, everyone and welcome! Lisa from The Relativity of Paper sharing a fun rainbow inspired birthday card with you today. Summer is upon us and everyone wants to be outside soaking up the sun and enjoying family time by the pool, right?  So today is all about keeping it simple with this one layer birthday card. This card is quick and simple, can be used for any occasion. So let's jump into this thing.

To create this card you need four things: ink, paper, stamping tool and the VO Dots Stamp Set.
A stamping tool makes life so much easier no matter what you are stamping but especially so when stamping with this overlay technique but no worries, you can achieve this with an acrylic block too.

Here's a close-up that really explains how to do this. Simply stamp the dot overlaying each color as you move your paper when using a stamping tool. The stamping tool has the gridlines that allow you to align your paper and keep it straight while positioning it.
