Connected by Heart

Hello and Happy Saturday!
Design Team Member Heather here and today I am taking over the blog at SumMore Fun and have this easy and fun card to share with you.  I began by taking the cute world stamp with hearts from the Playing Cupid Raisin Boat stamp set and stamping it out onto a piece of white card stock with Versa Mark ink and then heat embossing with Silver Embossing Powder, I then cut it out with a square stitched die set from my stash and then mounted that onto another stitched square the next size up in black card stock which was then placed onto one more cut square in white, all three layers were then placed onto a top folding medium grey A2 card base.  I stamped the sentiment from the same set at the bottom in Versa Fine Onyx Black ink and then to finish it off I used my Kirarina Wink pens in White Pearl and Black Pearl to accentuate the stitched lines and to also color in the hearts on the world for some glimmer and shine. You can find links below to the products I used  and also to the ongoing Challenge, we would love to have you come join us.
See you soon!

Last Valentine's Day Card....

Hello & Happy Thursday Everyone!
DT Theresa here from Theresa's Crafty Creations
Today's my day to take over the blog!!
YAY for me... 🙌

Today I thought I would share my last Valentine's Day Card -

Valentine's Day was Yesterday and I hadn't had a chance
to share the card I made for a friend of mine --

I die cut my Heart Circle die twice, so I could
mix and match the design together - Then I adhered them
on top of a White 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card front -
Then I used a Stitched Rectangle Die to give my card
a nice border

I attached my Card front to some Fun Foam, then attached it
to my Pink Cardbase --

My Dotted Heart Stamp & Sentiment Stamp are Heat Embossed with
some Fine Silver Embossing powder
I used my Clear Wink of Stella Pen to add some
Glitter to all the pink hearts then added a couple
of Clear Ice Cube Jewels for a final Touch!

I'm using the Playing Cupid (9059-Z) Stamp Set

This set is Perfect for so many
occasions besides Valentine's Day -
I just love it!

Loves me, loves me not...

 Hello and happy Saturday!

Heather here and it is my day to take over the blog, so let's get started on how I made this fun Valentine card.
I started with a piece of scrap paper that I die cut a heart from, I then laid the negative piece onto some white card stock and took a bunch of the cute little stamps from the Raisin Boat Playing Cupid set and stamped them all over the heart cut out area with three different pink inks from Hero Arts (Rosie Cheeks, Bubblegum and Raspberry Jam), I then took some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink in Worn Lipstick and applied it with an ink dauber over the whole area.  When that was all dry I used a White Gelly Roll pen to add detail to the stamped images and help them pop from the pink background.  I then removed the negative scrap paper and die cut the white panel with a stitched rectangle die.  I added a sentiment at the bottom from the same stamp set and then another little flower, I always think of flowers when I hear "loves me, loves me not" and this flower is a perfect fit. I glued the top layer to a piece of pink card stock, die cut with the next size up rectangle die and then glued that down to a white side fold A2 card base.  The card is simple but packs a colorful punch.  This stamp set offers so much possibility and I am enjoying playing with it immensely and cannot wait to see what else I can come up with.
Don't forget our current challenge is still running and we would love to see our projects.  I have included the Mood Board with link below.
See you soon!

Challenge #21
Playing Cupid (9059-Z)

It's Valentines time!

Hello all! Not going to lie about it, I totally missed Christmas cards this year. It's always on my plan to get it done, and yet it rarely happens anymore. So, then I tell myself I'll send Valentine's cards... No telling yet if that will be accomplished or not, but I have gotten some made!

I started with this super cute stamp set from Raisin Boat called Playing Cupid. I love how many options it provides for different card ideas.

A while ago, I'm not going to admit how long ago, I started a one-sheet wonder. If you're not familiar with that concept, it's one sheet of patterned paper (and some times coordinating cardstock) cut up to make a certain amount of cards really quickly. So, all these blue and purple cards I had leftover from one of those workshops. (That pretty much means I just never finished them).

I started out using reinker, rubbing alcohol and pearl paint in a spritzing pen to make the backgrounds. Then I added my pre-cut paper according to the workshop. I finished them off with the cute heart and HVD sentiment from Playing Cupid. Then I added silver sequins and some glitter glue drops.
For the second card, I used a couple of different stamps from Playing Cupid, then colored them in with alcohol markers. I added the miles apart sentiment and then I also added some shimmer to my pop-up heart.

For the third card, I wanted to try something different - something beyond digging through all my sequins to find just the hearts. I've always held back on making cards or layouts like these - ones with lots of embellishments on them - because I feel like it's "wasting" my embellishments. But, recently I've started taking a closer look around my craft room and decided I could never use all these supplies... so, I gave it a whirl.

I started by foiling the medium sketch heart and the tiny sketch heart stamps from Victorine Originals. I used foam dots on the medium heart for my card. Then, I went back to work with the cute little heart stamp from the Raisin Boat Playing Cupid stamp set. To the top of those, I added sequins in coordinating colors that matched my foiled hearts. Then I used the miles apart sentiment.

For the next card, I foiled the Victorine Originals sketch heart stamp and popped it up in the middle of my card. I added some coordinating sequins and then used the love makes the world go 'round sentiment from the Raisin Boat Playing Cupid stamp.
I switched color schemes for my last two cards, and went more with the colors from the current mood board. For the background of this card, I again used the re-inker, rubbing alcohol and pearl paint for my card base. Then, I took the hearts I cut out of the black and white paper and laid them on the card and sprayed over them with ink spray. After it dried, I added some black and white fibers to the left side, and some of the sprayed hearts to the right side with foam adhesive.
I went back to the Raisin Boat Playing Cupid stamp for the HVD sentiment and popped it over the fibers. I really like how this card turned out!

I love to sew, but I just don't do it much on cards and pages because it takes so much time - I really love how it looks, though! One of these days, I'll set up my sewing machine for paper. For this last card, I adhered paper hearts in coordinating paper to the left edge and then hand-sewed with embroidery thread on top of them.

For the sentiment, I used the word love from the Raisin Boat Playing Cupid set and colored it in with the silver and pink Kirarina Wink glitter markers. I matted it on red paper and added it to the card.
