Kick Cancer's Butt Card

Hello and happy Sunday!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here.  SumMore Fun is having a brand new weekend promotion...buy 4 stamp sets, Get 1 stamp set FREE! You know that is an amazing deal because the prices on their stamp sets are already much lower than most retailers. Plus the offer is stackable, which means if you buy 8 sets, you get 2 FREE, buy 12 sets, you get 3 FREE. Hurry, the special offer is only good through Monday! Here is what I created to inspire you:
All the stamps on this card are from the SumMore Fun You Can stamp set...an absolute must have in my opinion!  It is great for cancer encouragement or for general encouragement too.  I stamped the cancer ribbon stamp with Scrapbook.com Pink Lemonade ink, which matched well with the MAMBI breast cancer cardstock I used on the center panel.  I used GMD scalloped stitched rectangle dies for the white panels and layered each panel with black cardstock to make them stand out.  The sentiment was stamped with Versafine onyx black ink.  Once adhered, I added a small dot of Glitter Pink Pearl Pen to each end of the sentiment for a little sparkle.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Carefree Birds Card

Happy Sunday! Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  For a while, we will have weekend promos in which a certain stamp set will be free with your order of $35+. Awesome, right?! This weekend, through Monday, you can get the Raisin Boat Free As A Bird at no cost if you make a $35+ order.  Here is what I made for inspiration:
I started with a piece of watercolor paper and die cut it with a GMD stitched rectangle die.  I made the background by rubbing Distress Inks in Work Lipstick, Seedless Preserves, and Salty Ocean on an acrylic stamping block.  I lightly spritzed the block with water then flipped it upside down onto the watercolor paper.  I placed something heavy on the block and let it sit for 5 minutes, then removed the block and let it dry.  The next step was to stamp the images from the Free As A Bird set with VersaMark and heat emboss with white powder.  I really love that look!  The final bit of stamping was to add the Carefree sentiment from Free As A Bird in light blue.  I matted the white panel with solid cardstocks in the same colors as the ink.  The only embellishment I used was glitter pink Pearl Pen dots.  I think it turned out to be a very delicate and tranquil card!

Here is a look at the Free As A Bird:

How do you get it for free?? To claim this deal, simply add Free As A Bird to your shopping cart and continue shopping at SumMore Fun. Once your order *excluding* Free As A Bird reaches a subtotal of $35, Free As A Bird will automatically be marked down!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

90th Birthday Card

Hello and welcome to another Wednesday post for the SumMore Fun blog!  This time, I have a feminine 90th birthday card to share with you.  The stamp set I used on this card is Raisin Boat Springtime Love.
I started off by taking a panel of white cardstock and created a subtle lace background on it with a GMD flower petal collage stencil and Soft Lavender SB.com ink.  I also wrapped purple crinkled seam binding around that panel in the area I wanted to add the 90 heart.  The heart was stamped from the Springtime Love stamp set with Charcoal ink.  I then cut it out with my Brother Scan N Cut and watercolored the leaves in with Parisian Purple ink.  The 90 was simply cut out from silver vinyl with my Scan N Cut and placed onto the heart.  I added the heart with foam tape.  The sentiment was also from the Springtime Love stamp set and was stamped with Charcoal ink.  The final embellishment was Silver Pearl Pen. I tried a different technique to apply it this time by adding it to a scrap paper, then dipping different sized styluses into that and touching it to my card.  The white cardstock panel was matted with charcoal and purple cardstocks onto the card base.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Tractor Birthday Card

Welcome to another Wednesday project from Beth's Beauties!  This time I have a masculine card to share that uses the Raisin Boat Homegrown and Flourishing Thoughts stamp sets.
First of all, I stamped the awesome tractor stamp from the Raisin Boat Homegrown set with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. Once that was dry, I used watercolor pencils and a water brush to add the color.  The panel was die cut with a GMD stitched rectangle die, then matted with a black rectangle die cut with a GMD wonky stitched rectangle die.  The panel was popped up with foam tape onto the card base.
The patterned papers in TPS Yee-Haw! paper pad were perfect for this card.  The sentiment was from the Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp set and was stamped with SB.com Succulent ink.  To embellish, I added burlap ribbon and dots of silver Pearl Pen (which were not centered like I had originally intended...oops!).  I guess imperfection is part of life, right?
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

32 Cards From One 6x6 Paper Pad

Raise your hand if you are completely in awe of Kristie Marcotte and her ability to power through entire 6x6 paper pads...yeah me too!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today I decided to embrace that challenge for myself!  It wasn't easy and took me three days off and on to finish the paper pad, but I ended up with these 32 cards.
I used the My Mind's Eye My Favorite Things 6x6 paper pad.  I have had it floating around in my craft room for quite some time.  I picked it because it had both masculine and feminine papers in it.  I will say that I should have been more selective because some of the papers were geared more towards scrapbooking and that left me with only side of paper to use with those sheets.  However, it didn't stop me :)
In true Kristie style, I started with some card sketches.  This first set of cards were made with Reverse Confetti sketch #32.
I used the following supplies on these cards:
  • Raisin Boat Talking in Circles stamp set (only $3.99 right now!)
  • Scrapbook.com Pine hybrid ink
  • Scrapbook.com Pink Lemonade hybrid ink
  • Cottage Cutz stitched circle dies
  • brads
  • brown and coral Recollections cardstock
  • flower

The second set of cards were made with Reverse Confetti sketch #53.
I used the following supplies on these cards:
  • Raisin Boat Night Owl stamp set
  • Raisin Boat All In Toile stamp set
  • Scrapbook.com Black hybrid ink
  • Scrapbook.com Succulent hybrid ink
  • Scrapbook.com Camel hybrid ink (inking around the edge of the owl)
  • colored pencils
  • Brother Scan N Cut (owl and party hat)
  • Scrapbook.com Pink Lemonade hybrid ink
  • Gray, tan, and black Recollections cardstock
  • Twisted Lime Trendy Twine
The third set of cards were made with Reverse Confetti sketch #34.
I used the following supplies on these cards:
  • Raisin Boat Talking In Circles stamp set
  • Scrapbook.com Charcoal hybrid ink
  • Cottage Cutz stitched square die
  • black Recollections cardstock
  • circle punch
  • markers
  • Glossy Accents (on bottom right circles and flower centers)
These baby cards were created with OWH Sketch #154.
I used the following supplies on these cards:
  • Raisin Boat Talking In Circles stamp set
  • Scrapbook.com Daffodil hybrid ink
  • Cottage Cutz scalloped stitched circle die
  • Cottage Cutz stitched circle die
  • black Recollections cardstock
  • Totally Lemon Trendy Twine
  • diaper pin brad
The last cards made from a sketch used OWH sketch #142.
I used the following supplies on these cards:
The following cards were not made with any type of sketch.  I was simply using up the papers I had left from the paper pad.
These fish cards were created using the following additional supplies:
  • Raisin Boat Time Flies stamp set
  • Raisin Boat No Loss For Words stamp set
  • Scrapbook.com Black hybrid ink
  • Scrapbook.com Caribbean hybrid ink (blended with brush)
  • Watercolored fish with Scrapbook.com Succulent, Pink Flamingo, and Sugar Cookie hybrid inks
  • Cottage Cutz stitched rounded rectangle dies
  • black Recollections cardstock
  • white gel pen
  • silver brads
The next two cards each have a different layout, but are similar with their elements.
Supplies used include:
  • Raisin Boat Talking In Circles stamp set
  • Scrapbook.com Succulent hybrid ink
  • GMD double stitched in and out circle die
  • Cottage Cutz scalloped stitched circle die
  • black Recollections cardstock
  • Totally Lemon Trendy Twine
  • Scrapbook.com Charcoal hybrid ink
  • Totally Black Trendy Twine
  • White Pearl Pearl Pen
Supplies for the two butterfly cards include:
  • Raisin Boat No Loss For Words stamp set
  • Scrapbook.com Black hybrid ink
  • Cottage Cutz Kayla Butterfly die
  • Cottage Cutz scalloped stitched circle die
  • label die
  • black, gray, white Recollections cardstock
  • Totally Lemon Trendy Twine
These final four cards really were using up the last of the last scraps!
The Happy Birthday cards supplies include:

The final card supplies include:
Adhesives used on all cards include ATG, foam tape, and Scotch Tacky Glue.  I used up every little bit of those patterned papers.  The last couple scraps were used for embellishments and die cutting.

Whew!  Did you make it all the way through this post?  If so, I hope you are inspired to try something new with your crafting...maybe even crafting your way through a whole paper pad like I did!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Valentine's Day Duo of Cards

Hello all!  I have been creating for Valentine's day and loving every minute of it!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with a duo of cards, one of which used the negative space from the die cutting of the other.
This was the first card I created.  I stamped the brush strokes from Raisin Boat's Strokes of Pride stamp set and a stamp platform.  The colors of Scrapbook.com inks I used from top to bottom are:  Pink Flamingo, Candy Shop Pink, Confetti Pink, Mixed Berry, and Cardinal Red.  I flipped the cardstock between each color, so the brush stroke would be reversed from the previous stamping.  I then die cut a heart out of white cardstock and also cut a smaller heart out of the center to create a peek-a-boo for the stamping on the base layer.
At the bottom of the card, I added the LOVE sentiment from the Raisin Boat No Loss For Words stamp set with black ink.  I embellished with Pearl Pen dots in Pearl Pink and Red.  Once those were dry, I mounted the stamped panel onto a black layer, then adhered it to my card base.
The second card is very similar to the first, but as I mentioned earlier, I used the negative white cardstock from the die cutting of first card to create the front of this one.  Once again, I stamped the brush strokes from Raisin Boat's Strokes of Pride stamp set with a stamp platform in the same manner as the first card.  Then I trimmed down the die cut panel so the brush strokes would be visible on the outside of the panel as well as through the heart.
Once again, the bottom of the card was stamped with the LOVE sentiment from the Raisin Boat No Loss For Words stamp set in black ink.  I embellished with Pearl Pen dots in Pearl Pink and Red.  The front panel was popped up with foam tape and the card was complete!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Valentine Wreath Card

Good morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties back with another Valentine's Day card today.  This one uses the Raisin Boat Springtime Love stamp set, which I absolutely LOVE!
I started by stamping a white cardstock panel for the background.  I used Rainy Day SB.com ink on the wreath stamp from the Raisin Boat Springtime Love stamp set and randomly stamped over the whole paper.  The dark gray and white scalloped circles were die cut with Cottage Cutz dies and I stamped a wreath onto the white layer with SB.com Pink Flamingo ink.  I added the tiny hearts to the wreath with Confetti Pink ink and the open hearts with Mixed Berry ink.  I filled in the open hearts with Glitter Pink Pearl Pen.
On the bottom half of the card, I added a sentiment from the Raisin Boat Springtime Love stamp set in Mixed Berry ink and also filled the heart in with Glitter Pink Pearl Pen.  To embellish, I wrapped Raspberry Cupcake Trendy Twine around the card front before adhering it to the card base.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Poinsettia Merry Christmas Card

Hello and Happy December!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with this elegant Christmas card that uses two Raisin Boat stamp sets, Dear Santa and Merry Nature.
The poinsettia and pinecones from Dear Santa were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and watercolored with Distress Inks.  After they were dry, I cut them out with my Scan N Cut.  The sentiment is from the Merry Nature stamp set and is also stamped in VF Onyx Black.  The other items I used to create this card include GMD scalloped stitched rectangle dies, GMD Floral Frame dies, paper from TPS Rustic Noel, ATG, Foam tape, and red Pearl Pen.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
