Rain Forest Foilage

Good morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place. I'm taking over the blog with the Rain Forest digi stamp that you can get for free for a limited time.

I printed the digi stamp on to white card and colored with alcohol markers. I then stamped the sentiment which was from the Oops a Daisy stamp set. This was matted onto green card and a white card base.  Lastly I added black dots with a fine tip pen.
Simple card but gave me the chance to do some coloring!

Rain Forest Foliage is available free as a digital stamp for this week only.

It is also available as a rubber stamp in 3 different sizes, if you order the rubber stamp you get a SVG outline of the stamp for free!

Etched Daisy

Good morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog today. I have been having fun with the Oops a Daisy Raisin Boat stamp set.

This is my first attempted at etching a glass. I stamped the image onto a piece of white card which I then taped inside a drinking glass.
Using a permanent marker I traced the stamped image onto the outside of the glass. I then used my rotary tool to etch the flower onto the glass.

Once I had etched the whole image I used alcohol hand sanitizer to remove any pen marks left and washed the glass to ensure there were no glass fragments.
I did look a site when I was doing the etching. I wore a mask, gloves and safety glasses to ensure none of the glass dust got in my eyes and respiratory tract and gloves in case the glass broke - fortunately it survived!

Hopeful

Good Morning Dreamerz and Happy Wednesday!!

Today is my day to take over the SumMoreFun Designs Blog.

Here's my inspiration for you using the following stamps:

Wings Set and the word Hopeful from the set Oops A Daisy

For today's post I wanted to share a card using a truly versatile stamp set with you.  I chose to use the Smaller of the Monarch Butterfly Wings for my card today.  I made this card as a future card to send during the month of October which is breast Cancer Awareness month.

Card Recipe:
I stamped the Wings which I placed very closely together on a piece of vellum then used White embossing powder and heat set. Fussy cutting is not my favorite craft task but this was actually super simple and easy to do, so much so that I made a few more for a future project. I had some scraps of the patterned paper and lined them up and glued them to a piece of printer paper and die cut a nice rounded edge rectangle and applied thin strips of silver washi tape to hide the seams. I die cut a butterfly from a dark purple piece of cardstock to adhere the wings to using multi matte medium.  The sentiment was stamped using a pretty purple ink.

With all the stamping and layers ready to go next up was assembly of the card. I used Tombow Extreme to affix the die cut rectangle to the front of an A2 sized top folding piece of Neenah Desert Storm 100lb cardstock. The butterfly was attached using Tombow glue and some Nuvo Drops in Silver Lining applied to give the body and tips of antennae some detail.  A few more drops of Nuvo were applied to finish off this card.

Thinking of you

Thinking of you!!

Good Morning crafty friends.
Amy here
today to share a
Thinking of you card I made using Raisin Boat's "Oops a daisy" stamp set.

As you can tell I've been playing around with my Distress Oxide inks again.
I started out by blending a few colorful colors in my background.
I then stamped my daisy images directly onto the colors.
I then blended black all around the edges.
I chose a few colorful papers to layer it.
I stamped the Thinking of you sentiment and attached it using 3D foam tabs.

Here is a closer look at those colors.

Daisy Thank You

Good morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog.

Today's card is using a technique that has been around for a while now but this is my first attempt at it. Stamping my background using Oops a Daisy stamp set  I made an eclipse card:

I stamped one of the daisies multiple times in different orientations then colored them with alcohol markers. I then stamped the tiny swirl which is a stamp from the Curly Cute stamp set.

I then took my alpha dies and cut the words THANK YOU across the images.

I matted a white card base with yellow card and added the negative part of my stamped background.
Using pop dots I replaced the letters letting the yellow card show through.

I then replaced the center of the O and A lining it up with the images. A simple card to make but I love the effect.

Don't forget about our challenge where you can win win a gift certificate to SumMore Fun? Oh and the prize doubles if you use stamps from  the store!

Hi Friend!

Hello everyone,
Heather here and it is my day to take over the blog and I decided I needed some more "just because" type cards for my stash to send to friends who may need a pick me up or just some happy mail.  These daisies are just so versatile and pretty, so let's jump right in and talk about the card:
I started by taking an A2 sized, side folding, white card base and stamping one of the large daisy images from the Raisin Boat Oops A Daisy (10236) set three times on the front edge, while the card was open.  I then fussy cut the edge with the intention of leaving it so there would be a fancy edge while the card was closed, that changed though as I worked on my design, which I will explain shortly.  I also waited to color the images until I finished cutting so if I made a mistake it would be easier to correct then if I made a mistake cutting after I colored them.  I then used 5 different shades of pinks from my Tombow markers and colored the flowers, then using a white gel pen I added some details to each flower to add more interest.  I then stamped the "Hi" and "Friend" sentiments from the same set in black ink.  Once the white ink had dried I added a coat of shimmer to each flower using a Nuvo Glitter Gloss pen.  I then decided that I wanted a bit more color so found some ombre paper in my stash that went perfect and added that to the inside front panel.

For the flower centers I added glossy accents and then sprinkled a dark bronze glitter over the top and waited for everything to dry before cleaning up the stray glitter.  I hope you have enjoyed my card and please join us tomorrow for a new challenge.  See you all soon!

Daisy Tag

Daisy Tag

Good Morning crafty friends.
I am taking over the blog
today to share a
Cute mixed media tag using Raisin Boats Oops a Daisy stamp set.

I started out with a blank pre-cut tag from my stash. Using distress oxides, I blended a few spring colors for a bright background.

I stamped my images from this adorable stamp set. One is blended with oxide inks and the other with glitter gel pens. I added some fibers and butterflies. Then a wood Love veneer to top it off.
