Musical Birthday Wishes....

Hello & Happy Thursday Everyone!
DT Theresa here from Theresa's Crafty Creations
and it's my day to take over the blog! YAY!!

 I thought I would share a Birthday card -

I went ALL Rainbow on you guys! LOL

I'm using my Distress Oxides inks - Candied Apple, Squeezed Lemonade,
Lucky Clover, Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch, & Wilted Violet

I started out by blending all my colors together on a piece of white cardstock
then letting it dry completely
Once it was dry I stamped the Music Background with some
versamark ink and poured some Ultra Fine White
Embossing powder over it and heat set it -
Then I die cut it out with a Stitched Postage Frame Die -

I die cut a Stitched Frame Die with some White Cardstock
Then I grabbed a piece of Vellum and stamped the
Happy Birthday Sentiment right onto it with
some black onyx versafine ink and poured some ultra
black embossing powder over it and heat set it -

I thought the Black Embossing on the vellum would stand out
a little better over my rainbow background -

I attached the vellum with some liquid glue behind the
Happy Birthday Sentiment (So it wouldn't show through) then
I wanted a sweet bow, so I grabbed some Berry Trendy Twine
and tied it on the lower portion of my Postage frame
I adhered it to my white piece then attached it to my black cardbase.
For a little extra bling I used some Rainbow Jewels from Lucy's Cards.

Multi-color Stamping

Hi and welcome, everyone! Today I'm sharing a multi-color stamping technique featuring the Victorine Originals Map Background Stamp.  I know not many of us think about using Map Stamps for feminine cards but I say why not?  By adding a little pink and using a more feminine matting it can be done.

The second card has a more masculine feel to it but it uses the same stamping technique. I just left off the pink and changed the sentiment.

I hope you'll give this stamping technique a try and let me know how you like it.
Here's a video tutorial to walk you through the whole process.
