Up and Away

Good morning Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog on this spring day.

Today I am using a Raisin Boat set of stamps called Spring Is In The Air:

The cute Hot air balloon was colored to match this month's challenge mood board colors and both that and the adorable tiny bunny fussy cut. I used some cloudy sky patterned papers and die cut a penny slider 'flight path'. The same paper was placed underneath and I made a penny slider with the hot air balloon. You can see it in action here:

I stamped one of the many sentiments from the Spring is in the Air stamp set in the bottom corner and added another bunny face.
Once the mechanism was working I matted this onto blue card and my white card base. I added a few enamel dots to balance the design.

this is just another way that you can use our mood board for the challenge and be in with a chance of winning a gift certificate to our store:

Just take a look at the challenge blog post and go ahead and enter!

Thank you for stopping by, If you are looking for more inspiration check out my teamies cards on the BlogFaceBookInstagram and Pinterest.

Bunny tails

Hello to all! Aren't bunny tails the cutest little things? They were definitely the highlight to this layout as this stamp set by Raisin Boat is the absolute cutest!

For this layout, I had pictures of my daughters and my niece from Easter last year, and I wanted to do something special. Thank goodness SumMore Fun had the most awesome stamp sets and the best idea to make these cute little bunny tails!

I started in the top right corner by sponging a sunburst stencil with Distress Oxide Inks.

Then, I added grass and flowers along the bottom of the page. Using the Raisin Boat Sweet Smile stamp made this so easy! I added some extra color to my flowers by using the amazing Kirarina Wink Glitter Markers. I also colored some of the blades of grass with the green marker as well. To make the grass pop even more, then I added green Liquid Applique. If you've never used this before, you're missing out! More detail about it coming up on the bunny tails.

For the second page, I found the cutest SVG for my title. I cut it out in coordinating cardstock, and then added some doodles with the matching Kirarina Markers.

For the coolest aspect of the layout, I went back to the liquid applique. I'm sure there are many uses for this awesome product, but where I used it most is to add fun dimensional elements to my cards and layouts. Think snow on a tree ... or BUNNY TAILS!

I started by stamping my bunnies in a line across the layout using the Raisin Boat Stamp Spring is in the Air. I added the first bit of color by putting polka dots with the Kirarina Wink Glitter Markers

Then, I moved on to the tails! I actually had liquid applique in all of these colors. They are years old, clear back from when there was a local scrapbook store - amazingly, they were still good! If you can't find it in all the colors, you have options. Get the white from SumMore Fun, and add ink or re-inker to color it. Or, I've even heard of people having success by using it white, and then stamp the ink on top of it. Full disclosure: the directions say apply your liquid applique, then let it dry, then heat set it. I'm too impatient for that. I applied all my bunny tails, and then took my heat gun to it right away. As it warms it, it makes the liquid applique puff up and bubble like this did - perfect for bunny tails! I think it's supposed to be even more puffy if you let it dry, first; but honestly, I've never tried that!

I drew some grass blades with my Kirarina green marker, and then added some more grass with the liquid applique.

I matted all my pictures in coordinating cardstock to finish off my cute layout!

Are you working on Easter projects? Make sure to check out our newest mood board and submit your entries into our challenge! Prizes range from $20-$40; and all you have to do is submit your project! Please check out the blog post for all the (simple) rules.

Happy crafting and welcome SPRING!!!

SumMore Fun Mood Board #24

 Mood Board #24
Happy Friday and welcome back, everyone!

This mood board is inspired by Spring and Easter with the bright, colorful Easter Eggs, an adorable bunny, and chick, and pastel candies but don't forget the natural elements here, too. You may find the woodgrain, the fresh grass, or the grays from the gravel more inspiring. Either way, we can't wait to see your take on the current Mood Board. Remember your project inspiration can come from the photos, the color palette or both. Cards, ATC, Mixed Media, Scrapbook Layouts, Journaling, Planners are welcome.

You are My Sunshine

Hello! Jamie here, and it's my day to take over the blog, and I'm so in love with this project! Maybe it's because I'm wishing for spring? I'm also happy with how easy it was to take a Raisin Boat stamp set and use it for my journaling on this project.

This was actually a kit I purchased for under $2 at a garage sale at a crop I attended last fall. I totally scored with it!

I started by inking the edges of ALL the pieces with coordinating colors of Memento dew drop inks. The hardest part of these kits, I think, is not losing any of the tiny pieces. Sometimes that's a struggle! I had to cut down my sun "rays" and my grass into pieces before inking. Then I started assembling; this is probably my least-favorite part - but it's so worth it!!!

After I assembled the layout, I took my amazing Kirarina Wink Glitter markers and added the doodling. This is pretty labor intensive, but it makes the layout so much cuter! I added some chalk in different places as well.

I took monthly pictures of my kids in their first year, so I don't journal on these layouts. Instead, I found the perfect sentiments from the Raisin Boat You are My Sunshine stamp set! I had to rearrange the you are my sunshine sentiment, but that's the great thing about using a stamp positioning tool and clear stamps!

I doodled some more with the Kirarina markers on the sentiments. I really wanted sunshine to pop off the page, so I wrote over that with a marker.

What have you been working on lately? Have you seen our new mood board? Don't forget to submit your creations for a chance at wonderful prizes!
Happy crafting!
