I used white cardstock and a little scrap of designer paper (black and white stripe) for the entire card. Yes, even the blue piece. It is actually blended with two colors of Ranger Distress Oxide Ink (Broken China and Salty Ocean) and then I sprayed it with water to give a mottled look.

The stamp set has a lot of stamps in it - even a variety of birdcages - so I decided to use one on the inside of my card, too.

I used the fireworks stamp from the stamp set (and a variety of colors of ink) to create my own designer paper. I then cut it into the shape of a balloon using a die that I own.

I added some rhinestones to the centers of most of the bursts of fireworks to give it some sparkle. I also stamped the HAPPY birthday USA sentiment onto my card.

Free Flowers

I am really excited about today's blog post because I get to share with you a special that's available for just a few days in the SumMore Fun store. Sabrina (the owner) has announced that EVERY order of a minimum if $35 placed from today (Saturday) through Monday - May 16 through 18 - will receive the Crocus Cravings stamp set FREE OF CHARGE.

It's really quite simple. Add it to the cart, shop until the products and discount codes are more than $35 and the cart will automatically change the price. 

I love that stamp set! It truly is one of my favorites! The flowers are gorgeous and just look at all the options for sentiments! It is one of those stamp sets you can use again and again. I used it on today's card.

I used a stencil and added three colors of distress ink to the oval first. After it had sufficiently dried I stamped the flower and Happy Birthday sentiment from the Crocus Cravings stamp set onto the oval. 

It's a very simple card but eye-catching at the same time.

It's Your Day

For today's card I used four different products from the Stimulus Package...

Designer Paper
Gemini Foil Press (check it out - I made a flower with it)
No Loss for Words stamp set
Washi Tape

I really like the way the flower turned out.

I used a scalloped circle die and cut to make three layers for my flower. A brad holds them in place and then I just gently crinkled it with my fingers.

I added some Washi Tape and a birthday sentiment to the inside of my card, too.

Fluttering By to Wish You a Happy Birthday

For today's card I used a few of the items I received in my Stimulus Package (packages are similar, but not exactly alike).

I really liked this particular piece of designer paper that was included in the package (there are several different ones included) so I used it as the focal part of my card. I used one of the stamps in the package to add some circles of color. I also used two sentiments from the No Loss for Words stamp set that is in the package to make this into a birthday card.

The final touch was to add some of the square rhinestones (also in the package) to the body of the larger butterfly.

Brilliant Sunflower

Perhaps you've heard... SumMore Fun is offering a Stimulus Package of goodies. If not, check it out - HERE. While each of the packages isn't exactly alike, they are very similar. One thing that is in each package is the No Loss for Words stamp set, which you've already seen the design team use here on the blog.

I did not use it on my card today, but I do think it's a great stamp set; so versatile.

Here are the other items that were in the Stimulus Package that I received earlier this week from SumMore Fun...

I used three items from the package on my card: the Brilliant die, a ladybug (it's white but I colored it), and one of those wobbly things.

This is my 4th card this month, using the Large Sunflower stamp. That was my goal, to use it in different ways each week this month. This time I colored it and then fussy cut it... but I cut each leaf separately so I could change the configuration.

In this side shot you can see that the leaves are actually adhered to the card front but the bloom is not. The bloom is on one of those wobble things so it is interactive and fun, but also shy about being photographed. 

I used a marker an colored the ladybug.

She has put together a fantastic assortment of items and is selling it at a greatly discounted price in what she's calling a Stimulus Package. Check it out - HERE. Imagine receiving a small Priority box of goodies in the mail? How fun is that!?!?!? Papers. embellishments, wobbles, and so much more - including the awesome No Loss for Words stamp set. It has so many fantastic sentiments on it. Just look...

This set is definitely a versatile one. 

You might remember I  committed to making a card each week of April using the Victorine Originals Large Sunflower stamp and I have not veered from that commitment. However, I did add a sentiment from the stamp set that is included in every SumMore Fun Stimulus Package - No Loss for Words.

I almost always color with Copic Markers, but this time I colored the sunflower with Inktense Colored Pencils on Kraft cardstock for a different look.

Oh, and in case you're wondering... yes, I have a SumMore Fun Stimulus Package heading my way. I can hardly wait!

Sunflower Thanks

If you were here on the blog last week, you saw a card I made using the Victorine Originals Large Sunflower stamp set. If you didn't see it and would like to, you can do so by going HERE. It really is a fabulous stamp. So I've decided to give myself a little challenge and at the same time. I'm going to use that same MARVELOUS stamp for each of my Saturday cards this month, using it in different ways each time. (I've not thought past this week, but surely I can make this work.)

Last week I used the paper-piecing technique. This week I partially stamping the sunflower repeatedly. 

In retrospect I wish I had stamped the flower three times instead of four, but it was too late. Once stamped, one cannot un-stamp. So four it is. (It looks too balanced this way - three really would have been better!)

The sentiment is from the Flourishing Sentiments stamp set.

For my card today I used the Large Sunflower stamp. Sunflowers are my favorite flower so of course I am glad to own this stamp.

I used a paper piecing technique to make the card, which works really well with the large image.
