It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at our house... trees are being decorated, nativity sets are in place, the village is still in boxes but will soon be on display. Presents are ready to wrap and Christmas music is playing on my iPhone (I listen to Pandora). With all this Christmas preparation, it seems fitting to make Christmas cards, too.

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today.

I've been making Christmas cards for the Troops (I'm trying to get a box of them ready to donate) so I was excited to pull out the Raisin Boat Holiday Hang Ups stamp set this week. It's such a pretty set with an assortment of ornaments and that gorgeous branch. There are sentiments and other goodies in the set, too. And because there's no need for coloring, it makes it really fast and easy to put together a card with this set.

While I love the ornaments, I'm not overly crazy about the ink I used on the long ornament - I think next time I might heat emboss the ornaments instead. Wouldn't that look gorgeous?

I even stamped the branch and an ornament on the inside of my card...

Happy Saturday! Sharon from Mollie Moos Crafty Place taking over the blog today and I'm getting so excited that the holidays are almost here.

Have you got all your cards done and sent? If not I'm show casing a very simple one that is great if you have multiples to do and it just uses one stamp set.

I used the pine bough from Raisin Boat's Holiday Hang Ups set and stamped it around 3 sides of white card using different shades of green ink. I then switched to red ink and stamped berries and my sweet little sentiment. An amber ink was used to stamp the stars.

 I used a fine point pen to 'hang' these on the tree and added the small tied bow to the biggest one - again a stamp from the same set. This stamp set also has a number of Christmas ornaments with it so is packed full of possibilities.

Once stamped I then matted a white base with a silvery blue mirror card, red card and finally my stamped card.

There is still almost a week to get your entries in and with the all decked out theme we all have a card made that could be entered.

Happy Holidays + Holiday Hang Ups

Hi and welcome back. Lisa from The Relativity of Paper taking over the blog today with a Christmas  card featuring the Raisin Boat  Holiday Hang Ups Stamp Set. I love retro ornaments, so I had to have this set, so beautiful!  I used the Distress Inks to coordinate with the current Mood Board. 

I'm going to share a little secret with ya. You have to try this cardstock, it's amazing.
It comes in 15 different colors, #100, sturdy cardstock, loving it.

To create this look I used a stamp position tool, stamping the ornaments in Peacock Feathers, Candied Apple Red, Fossilized Amber and the branch with Peeled Paint. Using Gold ink stamp sparkles randomly. Added fun foam to the white cardstock panel and layered on Raisin Boat My Colors Cardstock - Roasted Red Pepper. Finished off with a few glitter enamel dots on stamped sparkles.

Tis The Season To Shine

Hi and welcome back. Lisa from The Relativity of Paper taking over the blog today with a Christmas featuring the Raisin Boat  Holiday Hang Ups Stamp Set. I love retro ornaments, so I had to have this set, so beautiful!

To create this look I used a stamp position tool, randomly stamping the ornaments in turquoise, gray and pink. Added fun foam to the white cardstock panel and layered on Raisin Boat My Colors Cardstock - Aqua Breeze. Finished off with a few sequins and shimmer gelly roll pen.
