Introducing Our Wild One

Hello everyone,
Heather here and it is my day to take over the blog and I am so excited to share this adorable baby card with you.  I started with a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base using some cute striped pattern paper, I then cut down a piece of blue card stock to 4" x 5 1/4" and popped it up with some fun foam.  I layered some burlap ribbon, striped card stock and my "Introducing our...." sentiment stamped onto Kraft card stock onto the blue paper.  I then cut a circle out of Kraft card stock and then a smaller circle out of white and placed fun foam between the layers to give it some added dimension.  I then cut out a cute little onesie in blue ombre colored card stock and then stamped the adorable lion from the "Onesie, Twosie (10038-Z)" Raisin Boat stamp set onto some white card stock. I colored him in with my Tombow markers and then fussy cut him and laid him onto the onesie.  I added some glitter to the mane and some black glaze to the eyes. I stamped the "Wild One" sentiment onto another piece of Kraft card stock and then made a little banner with some blue paper and striped paper and put that behind the focal point.  To finish it off I added a few confetti sequins in blue in different sizes and my card is complete.

Our current challenge is still up, I have attached the link below for you to join us and the stamps I have used are listed below.  Thank you all, see you soon!

Hi Friend!

Hello everyone,
Heather here and it is my day to take over the blog and I decided I needed some more "just because" type cards for my stash to send to friends who may need a pick me up or just some happy mail.  These daisies are just so versatile and pretty, so let's jump right in and talk about the card:
I started by taking an A2 sized, side folding, white card base and stamping one of the large daisy images from the Raisin Boat Oops A Daisy (10236) set three times on the front edge, while the card was open.  I then fussy cut the edge with the intention of leaving it so there would be a fancy edge while the card was closed, that changed though as I worked on my design, which I will explain shortly.  I also waited to color the images until I finished cutting so if I made a mistake it would be easier to correct then if I made a mistake cutting after I colored them.  I then used 5 different shades of pinks from my Tombow markers and colored the flowers, then using a white gel pen I added some details to each flower to add more interest.  I then stamped the "Hi" and "Friend" sentiments from the same set in black ink.  Once the white ink had dried I added a coat of shimmer to each flower using a Nuvo Glitter Gloss pen.  I then decided that I wanted a bit more color so found some ombre paper in my stash that went perfect and added that to the inside front panel.

For the flower centers I added glossy accents and then sprinkled a dark bronze glitter over the top and waited for everything to dry before cleaning up the stray glitter.  I hope you have enjoyed my card and please join us tomorrow for a new challenge.  See you all soon!

Kick Up Those Heels

 Hello and Happy Saturday,

DTM Heather here and today I am taking over the blog with this fun Cowboy Boots Stamp.  This is a great stamp for a party invite, a thank you card, a birthday card or so many other possibilities and it is good for men and women. I wanted a fun and flirty pair of turquoise boots so I stamped the image onto some white card stock and colored them in with my Zig Real Brush Markers and a water brush.  Then of course added a generous amount of Spectrum Noir Glitter Gloss over the top, because turquoise boots need glitter!  When the image was dry I cut it out with a circle die from my crafty stash and then got to work on the card itself. I made a top fold A2 sized card base in Kraft card stock and then found some fun rustic patterned paper that I cut down to 4" x 5 1/4" and popped up with some fun foam.  I made sure to cut a channel into the fun foam to lay the ribbon and twine so it would all lay flat onto the card base.  I then cut my ribbon and twine and attached to the top layer and added the fun foam and then glued it all down to the card base.  I used some fun foam on the back of the circle die cut with the boot image, also leaving a channel so I could layer it on the front and have it lay flat as well.  To finish it all off I added some clear confetti sequins.  Let me know what great ideas you can come up with for this fun stamp, I would love to know.

As always, thanks for joining me today.

Snail Mail - Thinking of You

Hello everyone and welcome.
Heather from SuprFox Designs here today with this cute little snail image from the Mini Animals and Flowers set

These little critters are so cute and versatile and I saw this little snail and thought a Thinking of You card would be perfect.  I started with a 3 x 3 piece of Neenah Solar White 80 lb card stock and stamped the snail in TH Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers (OMG, this color is so pretty!) then I added the Thinking of You sentiment from my crafty stash and wanted to showcase more of that beautiful color, so dug around in my big box of stencils and found this distressed bubble one and added some more ink to the top left of my white panel.

I then cut out a 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 square of Poppy colored paper to mat my snail piece onto.  I put it all onto an A2 sized piece of grey card stock and added some glitter washi tape down the side for a bit more interest. These colors really pop and are so pretty together.

Don't forget to join us for the current challenge going on right now, you can use the theme, images and/or colors for inspiration!

See you all soon
