Sewing Scraps Card

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  This time I am bringing back one of my very first Victorine Originals stamp sets...the Sewing set.  It has been three years since I first got this set and still love it to pieces!

This card was different for me.  It is supposed to look like fabric scraps and therefore is haphazard.  NOT how I usually create, but the Carta Bella Sew Lovely paper scraps were begging to be used!  I simply adhered the patterned paper onto the 5x7'' card base and then filled in the gaps with stamps from the Sewing set in brown ink.

The sentiment was also stamped in brown and is from the Victorine Originals Floral and Sayings stamp set, ANOTHER of my absolute favorites! <3  The only embellishments were some buttons and a a little sewing thread through a couple of them.

You Make Such a Difference

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today. For today's card I used a very subtle/soft color scheme with a bit of bright rose red.

The image is from the Victorine originals Floral and Sayings stamp set (one of my most favorite VO stamp sets) and the sentiment is from the Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp set. I love how the sentiment fits perfectly in the space.

Birch Tree Thanks

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today. 

I've had the Victorine Originals Birch Trees stamp for a while and had never inked it up until this week. Now I'm wondering why... because I really REALLY like it! I stamped it onto colored cardstock and then colored it (lightly) with Prisma colored pencils.

The sentiment is from the Victorine Originals Floral and Sayings stamp set.

Autumn Birthday Greetings

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today. Fellow DT member Beth and I have been inking up the Raisin Boat Arboretum Leaves stamp set a lot lately. Have you been enjoying seeing the cards we've made with it? It really is an amazing stamp set.

Sooooo... YES, I have used it again for today's card. Instead of using a sentiment from the Arboretum Leaves set, I used the Happy Birthday from the Victorine Originals Floral and Sayings stamp set on my card.

Not only are there gorgeous leaves and an acorn in the set, look at that slab of wood. WOW!

Birthday Greetings

I've used one of my favorite Victorine Originals stamp sets to make a simple Birthday Card. 

Floral and Sayings

I wanted my card to be kind of classy, so I heat embossed the image and sentiment. The designer paper I used (it's a scrap so I don't know who the manufacturer is) is darker on one side so the only papers I used on my card are the one designer paper and white cardstock.

I could not figure out any embellishment that I thought enhanced the card so I decided to let the embossing of the gorgeous stamp set be enough. See, I told you it was a simple card - very simple.

Foiled Floral Cards

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  The cards I am sharing with you use the Victorine Originals Floral and Sayings stamp set.

On these cards, I tried my hand at foiling for the first time!  I love the shiny metallic finish it gives, but it is hard to capture that in photos.  For this anniversary card, I stamped the floral bouquet from the Floral and Sayings stamp set onto white paper using VersaMark ink and heat embossed with regular white embossing powder.  I always use my stamp platform when embossing!  I then ran the stamped paper with a piece of foil (shiny side up) through my laminator (no carrier sheet).  When the paper was cool, I peeled off the foil to reveal the image!

I used various oval dies to cut around the floral design and added a Happy Anniversary sticker to the center.  I embellished with Pearl Pen dots in Gold and Ice White and white seam binding ribbon.

For my second card, I followed the same foiling process except I used an ultrafine embossing powder and it gave a more bold foiled image.  I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Floral and Sayings stamp set in black.  I added a double bow of Pink Midnight Trendy Twine in the bottom right corner.

See that metallic shine?!  It definitely makes an eye-catching card!

Sparkle!

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today.

I found some amazing sparkly paper not too long ago - in the office supply area of a store. Hmmmmm... it sparkles and has great texture, but says it won't flake. That's a plus for this gal who has problems with glitter. AND... it says you can actually run it through your computer/printer. 

In that case, why not try stamping directly onto it, right?

It worked perfectly - and looks amazing (unfortunately the photos don't do it justice). The stamps from the Victorine Originals Floral and Sayings stamp set were the perfect choice to complement this sparkly card - so rich and gorgeous!

I am not - NOT - a symmetrical type of person. That's really kind of surprising because I'm an extremely organized type of person and they often tend to be symmetrical types, too. But I'm over-the-grid asymmetrical. ;) So I first made the card without the additional (Prima) flower and the symmetry of the look was driving me crazy. I just couldn't handle it. So I added an off-centered flower. I'm much happier now. LOL!

I don't know about you, but I think life needs more sparkle!

Sail Away for a Happy Birthday

Hello, Jeanette here from the design team (and the Cre8tive Play blog) with a card featuring two great Victorine Originals stamp sets: Ship Set and Floral and Sayings. This is the first time I've used the Ship Set, but Floral and Sayings is quickly becoming one of my favorites!

The  background piece on my card is one single piece of a beach-themed designer paper and it seems the perfect backdrop for the sailboat. The seagull is a brad.

The Ship Set has some amazing sayings in it, but I needed a birthday card, so I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Floral and Sayings set to complete my card.

I added the small sailboat (plus a strip of the designer paper) to the inside of my card...

This sunflower is a gorgeous stamped image - big enough that it nearly fills an A2 card size, which is awesome, since sunflowers are supposed to be large. And what a beauty to color!

Flowers for Your Birthday

Beth showed you a gorgeous birthday card (Purple and Gold Birthday Card) on Wednesday and I'm here to share yet another card using the same stamp set that Beth used - Victorine Originals Florals and Sayings. I just recently attained this stamp set and immediately fell in love with it. It is truly a gorgeous set with lots of images and sentiments.

The floral pieces will look awesome no matter what color you use to stamp them. For my card I decided to go with black ink to give it a more classy (almost elegant) look.

Have I mentioned how much I love this stamp set!?!?!?

Purple and Gold Birthday Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  The card I am sharing with you uses one of my all time FAVORITE stamp sets...Victorine Originals' Floral and Sayings.  You can see several other cards that I have created with that stamp set HERE.

Using my stamp platform, I inked up the flower with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink.  I wanted a little variation, so I re-inked the stamp touching only the edges with Dusty Concord DO and stamped over the flower again.  You can see it in the picture below if you look closely.  Then I stamped the sentiment in black ink, once again using the stamp platform for perfect placement.

I added metallic gold thread around the sentiment and gold Pearl Pen accents.  Other products used include GMD stitched rectangle die, GMD scalloped stitched rectangle die, white, black, and gold cardstock as well as paper from TPS Tattered & Worn paper pad. Adhesive used was ATG.

Floral With Sympathy Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  The card I am sharing with you uses Victorine Originals' Floral and Sayings stamp set.  I have used this set SO many times (see them here) and I recommend this stamp set to be in everyone's collection!

I stamped the floral stamp with VersaMark and embossed it with white powder.  For the sentiment, I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I used the Kaisercraft Mandala die to frame the stamped area.  It was a perfect fit for the card!  All patterned papers are from DCWV's Peri & Peach stack.  To embellish, I added some sequins in the bottom right corner.  Adhesives used include ATG, Lineco Adhesive, and foam tape.
