Hippity Hoppity

How in the world is it April already? I'm having trouble accepting how fast time is moving. Happy Easter to you and all of yours! I hope you have a truly blessed day with those you love!

How cute are these little girls and these bunnies? This layout was a one-page kit I picked up cheap that I expanded.

I started by assembling the layout and figuring out where to put my pictures, and then I added the fun "extras." I don't always enjoy doing it, but doodling on your layout makes the additions pop so much more! For my title, bunnies and duck and flowers, I doodled the edges and added some dots with the amazing Kirarina Wink Glitter Markers (can you tell that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE these things?).

I also took my Memento Dew Drop Ink pads and inked the edges of my animals and my flowers.

I wanted to add an extra "Easter" element to these pages, especially since my daughters and my niece were picking up eggs in these pictures. So, I found the Victorine Originals Egg stamp, and knew it would be perfect. For this page, I stamped them in clusters of three, outlined them with the Kirarina markers, then colored them in with coordinating chalk.

For the second page, I wanted to hide the eggs in the grass. I stamped them across the page, outlined them with the Kirarina markers and colored them in with chalk, too.

Thanks for checking out my newest Easter layout! What projects are you working on right now? Do you need some inspiration? Check out our newest mood board! It's beauty will definitely inspire you to think and create spring! As always, every entry is qualified to win our awesome prizes! See the blog for full information!

Bunny with Egg ~ Easter Card

Good Morning Dreamerz and Happy Wednesday!!

Today is my day to take over the SumMoreFun Designs Blog.

Here's my inspiration for you using:

Bunny with Egg Mini Animals and Flowers & Backgrounds Set

Today I am sharing a cute Easter card that was super easy to make once I cut the mask for the bunny.  I am not much for fussy cutting but am finding I am doing quite a bit of masking on my cards lately.

Card Recipe:
I stamped the Bunny with Egg using my Tim Holtz stamp platform on a piece of Copic friendly cardstock and again on a piece of masking paper.  I then cut out the mask and applied it just to the lower half of the bunny.  Taking the one stamp from the Backgrounds set that looks like a small patch of grass I positioned it in my platform and stamped across the bottom of the card.  I did this a few times moving the panel and using different colors of green inks to achieve the look of grass.  I colored the bunny using various Copic markers until I was happy with how he looked.  Taking the Tulip stamp from Mini Animals and Flowers set I placed it on stamping platform and first inked the stem and leaves with a green ink and stamped the Egg and then inked it with a bright pink on the flower and finished off the Tulip.  The Happy Easter sentiment is from my stash and I used the same ink on it as I did the Tulip in the egg.  I chose to die cut the panel with a dainty scalloped edged die and used a larger die from the same set to die cut a layer of soft plaid paper from my stash.
I then affixed all the layers to a piece of yellow cardstock. Once all layers were dry I attached the project to a top folding A2 sized card base made with Neenah 110lb cardstock.  To finish off my project I added some homemade enamel dots that I affixed with pink stickles.  I chose the pink stickles so that just a hint of sparkle is visible on the card.

Wild About Spring (and Ewe)!

Hello everyone,

Design Team Member Heather here and it is my day to take over the blog at SumMore Fun and I pulled out one of my all time favorite stamp sets from Raisin Boat that is not just for Valentine's Day.  My card today is just so pretty in real life but very hard to photograph with even the best camera due to FOIL.... yes, foil!  I believe this card would work for spring, Easter, congratulations, thinking of you or even a new baby, but please let me know what you think in the comments.  So lets get started....

I started by taking  Neenah Solar White card stock cut to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and liberally applying some reactive spray all over, I used a shoe box to keep the mess down to a minimum as this spray goes everywhere.  I sprayed, drew lines and splattered the reactor liquid onto the card stock and then set it aside to set.  When it was tacky I ran the card stock each through my laminator with Mint colored foil.  I then took the Wild About Ewe, Honey stamp set and used the adorable Ewe stamp and stamped onto Neenah white card stock with MFT Black hybrid ink.  I used 2 shades of Copic markers in Neutral grays to color the body and 2 shades of skin tones to do the face.  When I was done coloring, I fussy cut the image out leaving a small white border.  This stamp is fairly easy to fussy cut and took hardly any time. I then took a small stitched circle from my stash and die cut that with white card stock and set that aside.  I then cut down a card base to 4" x 8" and then scored one side at 4" to make a top fold note card.  I cut out the Mint Foiled piece to 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" and glued that onto the base.  I popped up the circle with some fun foam and placed that down towards the bottom right corner.  I then glued my "Ewe" onto the circle. I finished the card off by adding some mirrored confetti/sequins with glossy accents and dotting the Ewe's eyes with my black glaze roll pen.  I took a few photos in different lighting and from different angles to try to show off the foil and that cute Ewe. It was a pretty quick card and if you planned ahead and made a few foil backgrounds you could make a few at a time pretty easily.

Going Up, Up and Away!

Happy Friday, everyone and welcome! Today I'm taking over the blog with this cutie from the Raisin Boat Spring Is In the Air Stamp Set. This is a great set for Spring and Easter, lots of possibilities with this one.

This card was created using white cardstock, colored inks, COPIC markers and a few die-cuts from my stash. You can find all the details on my blog, The Relativity of Paper.

I stamped the grass using Memento Inks in the colors Pear Tart, Cottage Ivy, and Bamboo Leaves.
I colored the balloon, bunny, and basket with COPIC BG's, Y's, RV's.  Once you have the pieces die-cut I added 3D mounting foam to them and adhered them to a 4.25" x 5.5" #110 Neenah Cardstock Classic Crest Solar White card base. Finish off with enamel dots.

Stamp sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

As always, thanks for joining me today.

Bunny tails

Hello to all! Aren't bunny tails the cutest little things? They were definitely the highlight to this layout as this stamp set by Raisin Boat is the absolute cutest!

For this layout, I had pictures of my daughters and my niece from Easter last year, and I wanted to do something special. Thank goodness SumMore Fun had the most awesome stamp sets and the best idea to make these cute little bunny tails!

I started in the top right corner by sponging a sunburst stencil with Distress Oxide Inks.

Then, I added grass and flowers along the bottom of the page. Using the Raisin Boat Sweet Smile stamp made this so easy! I added some extra color to my flowers by using the amazing Kirarina Wink Glitter Markers. I also colored some of the blades of grass with the green marker as well. To make the grass pop even more, then I added green Liquid Applique. If you've never used this before, you're missing out! More detail about it coming up on the bunny tails.

For the second page, I found the cutest SVG for my title. I cut it out in coordinating cardstock, and then added some doodles with the matching Kirarina Markers.

For the coolest aspect of the layout, I went back to the liquid applique. I'm sure there are many uses for this awesome product, but where I used it most is to add fun dimensional elements to my cards and layouts. Think snow on a tree ... or BUNNY TAILS!

I started by stamping my bunnies in a line across the layout using the Raisin Boat Stamp Spring is in the Air. I added the first bit of color by putting polka dots with the Kirarina Wink Glitter Markers

Then, I moved on to the tails! I actually had liquid applique in all of these colors. They are years old, clear back from when there was a local scrapbook store - amazingly, they were still good! If you can't find it in all the colors, you have options. Get the white from SumMore Fun, and add ink or re-inker to color it. Or, I've even heard of people having success by using it white, and then stamp the ink on top of it. Full disclosure: the directions say apply your liquid applique, then let it dry, then heat set it. I'm too impatient for that. I applied all my bunny tails, and then took my heat gun to it right away. As it warms it, it makes the liquid applique puff up and bubble like this did - perfect for bunny tails! I think it's supposed to be even more puffy if you let it dry, first; but honestly, I've never tried that!

I drew some grass blades with my Kirarina green marker, and then added some more grass with the liquid applique.

I matted all my pictures in coordinating cardstock to finish off my cute layout!

Easter Greetings....

Hello & Happy Thursday Everyone!
DT Theresa here from Theresa's Crafty Creations
and it's my day to take over the blog!! YAY for me... 🙌

Today I thought I would share an Easter Greeting with you-

This was so Fun and Easy to make --

I started out with a piece of 110lb White Cardstock
and some Distress Oxides in Picked Raspberry,
Squeezed Lemonade, Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon,
& Lucky Clover
I stamped my bunny in each color going straight
down the line to get the look I wanted
Then I pulled out a Stitched Rectangle die
and cut my panel out

While that panel sat off to the side
I took another piece of white cardstock
and blended Spiced Marmalade & Carved Pumpkin together
I pulled out an Easter Word Die and die cut
it out in the blended colors 4x's (for Dimension)
Layering each Easter word right on top of the next

Once that was complete, I added the
"Greetings" sentiment under the Easter die cut
in some black ink, then I adhered some Fun Foam
to the back of that --

Now my front panel was ready to be placed
on my Doodlebug dotted paper -
Then I adhered that to a Salmon Colored Cardbase

I added a couple of Jewels for a little Sparkle
and now it's ready to be mailed off!

Cross of Flowers

Good Morning Dreamerz and Happy Wednesday!!

Today is my day to take over the SumMoreFun Designs Blog.

Here's my inspiration for you using:

Cross of Flowers

Today I want to share my take on a pencil colored image on black cardstock.

Card Recipe:
I stamped the Cross of Flowers using my Tim Holtz stamp platform on black cardstock from my stash using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Then I proceeded to color in the stamped image with Prismacolor Premier pencils using bright lights on my craft desk so that I could see the ink stamped outline.  Once I was happy I set it aside and created the white top layer. I stamped the cross onto some scratch white cardstock and trimmed it to the very edges of the cross. Taking my previously diecut top layer I placed the cross that I had just trimmed on the back and traced it with a pencil once I had it positioned just where I wanted the opening to be.  I used my small steel ruler and an exacto knife on a self healing mat to cut the cross from the white cardstock.  I used tiny foam squares and affixed it to the top of the pencil colored image and then affixed the whole thing to a piece of yellow cardstock. Once all layers were dry I attached the project to a top folding A2 sized card base made with Neenah 110lb cardstock.
