Wishes

Hi Sharon from Fiddly Diddly Cards and Crafts taking over the blog today.

For my card design today I am using 2 of the gorgeous clear polymer stamp sets from Raisin Boat:

The first set Growing Love is has some pretty and quirky flowers as well as some accents that you can use on the flowers or along side of them. I chose one of the main flowers which looks like a dandelion, I stamped it in a light grey color. I think used a stippled effect stamp from same stamp to look like the floating seeds.
The sentiment I stamped in green is from Flourishing Thoughts stamp set. it has a large selection of sentiments that can be used for any type of card.
I matted a 4.25 x 5.5inch card base with green card in a shade similar to my sentiment ink and then added my stamped topper.
I added some iridescent white gems among the 'seeds' for added interest.

Don't forget there are some fab sales going on over on SumMore Fun Facebook page so you don't already like them now is the time to do so.

Some Assembly Required

Good Morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place. How is everyone liking the sales?
I'm here to share my design with you using a super cute stamp set called Watercolor Snowman.

He comes unassembled so I decided to stamp him the same way.

I stamped his head and body on black card in an opaque ink and added his face by coloring the stamp with markers.

I then stamped his arms, hat and scarf on separate pieces of white card.

I matted these onto the same card stock used for my card base. I then added the Free Snowman sentiment to the arm stamps.

I decided to make my card into an impossible card and the details of this can be found on my blog post.

I thought this was a great way to display all the snowman parts - You have to go hunting around the card for them!

Ride On

Good morning Sharon from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place here taking over the blog today.

Today's card was made using SumMore Fun's Highway High Stamp set from Raisin Boat

I started with an 7.5 x 7.5 inch white card base and matted this with blue card. I then stamped the motorcycle onto stamping card along with 'Ride On' - one of the many sentiments in the set. I colored the bike using my alcohol markers and matted the image onto the same blue card I had used on my base. I then stamped the wheel, again from the same set, onto black card multiple times with embossing ink. This was then embossed with clear embossing powder before adhering to my card base instead of patterned paper.

This gave a muted but effective background to my main image.

I then added my image to the top left corner of my card base. I die cut Happy Birthday from brushed silver mirror card 3 times and stacked these on top of each other giving the effect of a metal sentiment.
A used a few silver card candi pieces just to balance my design.

Floral Birthday

Good Morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog. I have been working on large cards this week and today's card is an 8x8 inch birthday card:

I used the Growing Love Stamp Set to first stamp pale pink flowers and dots onto a white piece of card. I then matted this with some pink card stock onto a scalloped card base.
I then stamped one of the larger flowers twice onto post-it note paper and cut this out to use as a mask. I then stamped 2 of the same flowers and masked these with the post-it notes. I stamped a further 2 flowers in each arrangement. I then colored these with Copic Markers and used a grey pencil for shadows. This gives the flowers depth so they look as though they are stacked rather than stamped on flat cardstock.
I then arranged these with some die cut leaves in the corners of my card. I added the happy birthday die cut and some pink crystal gems scattered around the card.

Pastel Dancer

Good morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place.
Have you seen the stunning new releases that were launched on Monday? If not head over to the store, we have the gorgeous A Rose By Any Other Name which has some stunning roses as well as a good amount of sentiments that you can mix and match.
There is also the stunning dance set On Point I have used this set in my inspiration post today.

These dancers are so elegant and the scripted sentiments also included in the set is so fitting!
I stamped the dancer and the sentiment ballet onto white vellum and heat embossed with fine white powder. I then added some muted color to her using colored pencils.

Isn't she beautiful and she has 2 other dancers in the set!

I used some pale lavender design paper and stamped some of the other images in the set on this. You can currently get the ballet slippers as a free digital stamp here.
I wrapped the vellum around the stamped paper and adhered this to a purple card base. I added white gel pen dots to the vellum to tie in with the white embossing.

You can check out all the new stamps as well as the digital stamps in the online store

Good morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place. I'm taking over the blog with the Rain Forest digi stamp that you can get for free for a limited time.

I printed the digi stamp on to white card and colored with alcohol markers. I then stamped the sentiment which was from the Oops a Daisy stamp set. This was matted onto green card and a white card base.  Lastly I added black dots with a fine tip pen.
Simple card but gave me the chance to do some coloring!

Rain Forest Foliage is available free as a digital stamp for this week only.

It is also available as a rubber stamp in 3 different sizes, if you order the rubber stamp you get a SVG outline of the stamp for free!

Etched Daisy

Good morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog today. I have been having fun with the Oops a Daisy Raisin Boat stamp set.

This is my first attempted at etching a glass. I stamped the image onto a piece of white card which I then taped inside a drinking glass.
Using a permanent marker I traced the stamped image onto the outside of the glass. I then used my rotary tool to etch the flower onto the glass.

Once I had etched the whole image I used alcohol hand sanitizer to remove any pen marks left and washed the glass to ensure there were no glass fragments.
I did look a site when I was doing the etching. I wore a mask, gloves and safety glasses to ensure none of the glass dust got in my eyes and respiratory tract and gloves in case the glass broke - fortunately it survived!

Night Owl

Good Morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place having fun on the blog today.

I love owls, in fact my family would tell you I am crazy about them so for today's post I have been having fun with the Raisin Boat Night Owl stamp set:

I made my night sky by stamping the moon and masking it. I then blended 3 different distress inks over my card to give a shaded night sky. I stamped the branch from the stamp collection and colored this brown. I then stamped the Night Owl sentiment in the middle of my moon.

These little scruffy bundles of fun were colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut.

I glued them in place on my branch.
My card base was matted with black card before adding my design.

Go Wild!

Good morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog today.
I'm going a little wild today - well I would be if the raccoons hadn't over eaten:

The cheeky chappies have raided a bin and are now in a food coma!!
I used the Raccoons stamp and colored them with Copic markers on white card stock. I then matted a white card base with kraft card and some spotted design paper. I used the 'go wild' and 'Happy Birthday' sentiments from the Happy Camper stamp set around my image and then matted it with kraft card before placing it at an angle on my card. I added a few enamel dots just to balance the design.
Here's a closer look at the trash bandits:

Aren't they just adorable?

One for the boys

Good morning, Sharon from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog today with a card for the boys. I killed 2 birds with one stone with this one, it was my Son's birthday on the 7th so my card was used for him.
I have used 2 stamp sets on this card the first being Welcome To The Cabin:

The set is all about hunting and fishing so I chose some of the wording and added fishes and fishing rod (from the same stamp set) onto a piece of white card I had lightly inked with green and brown ink. This was then added to my card base which had first been matted with dark green card.

Putting this to one side I then used my second stamp which is Chicken Wire This is a large stamp that is just what the item says it is chicken wire, here is a close up:

I stamped this onto acetate and using foam tape I placed this over my first stamping. My original idea was to make this a shaker card using some of the stamped fish from the first stamp set I used but they wouldn't lay right and 'shake' under the acetate. So instead I die cut a frame using some real tree design paper and added this over my images.

As this was for my son I die cut the letters and added son to the side of the card.

Don't forget our new moodboard challenge started last Friday to join in and get the chance to win a gift certificate to SumMore Fun head on over to the challenge post.  Oh and the prize doubles if you use stamps from from the store!

Daisy Thank You

Good morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog.

Today's card is using a technique that has been around for a while now but this is my first attempt at it. Stamping my background using Oops a Daisy stamp set  I made an eclipse card:

I stamped one of the daisies multiple times in different orientations then colored them with alcohol markers. I then stamped the tiny swirl which is a stamp from the Curly Cute stamp set.

I then took my alpha dies and cut the words THANK YOU across the images.

I matted a white card base with yellow card and added the negative part of my stamped background.
Using pop dots I replaced the letters letting the yellow card show through.

I then replaced the center of the O and A lining it up with the images. A simple card to make but I love the effect.

Vintage Bicycling

Hi Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog today, I have a little vintage transport for you:

I started by inking a white piece of card to make it look older. Using the same color ink I used the text stamp and stamped this 4 times covering my card. I then used Kraft card and again with same ink I stamped the Penny Farthing and fussy cut it out.
My card was assembled using dark brown card to mat my base. I then added my inked card.
I used foam squares to adhere my penny farthing raising it from the card:

I added some coordinating nuvo drops. Finally I die cut some words from the dark brown card - I thought they were appropriate because wow! would you ride a bike with a seat like that!!!

Go Wild

Good Morning Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog today.

I Hope you all had a great Easter! Now spring is well under way who is starting to think of camping?

My card today shows the reasons why I don't camp very well!

Yep all those critters that like to invade your space as well as suck the life out of you!

That said Raisin Boat's Happy Camper is the most adorable stamp set where you can get to enjoy the outdoors whilst in the safety of the craft room!

I colored the images with markers and then had my die cutter fussy cut the critters. I matted a card base with green card and placed the card with my campfire and sentiments on in the center of the card. I then die cut an aperture from some patterned paper and adhered this over my camp fire.
I then used 2 decreasing circle dies to cut a frame and added acetate to this. I placed the flower confetti onto my card and using foam squares glued my "window" over the aperture.
My little critters were then glued in place don't ya just love this crazy raccoon!

He is the perfect pizza thief!

Up and Away

Good morning Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog on this spring day.

Today I am using a Raisin Boat set of stamps called Spring Is In The Air:

The cute Hot air balloon was colored to match this month's challenge mood board colors and both that and the adorable tiny bunny fussy cut. I used some cloudy sky patterned papers and die cut a penny slider 'flight path'. The same paper was placed underneath and I made a penny slider with the hot air balloon. You can see it in action here:

I stamped one of the many sentiments from the Spring is in the Air stamp set in the bottom corner and added another bunny face.
Once the mechanism was working I matted this onto blue card and my white card base. I added a few enamel dots to balance the design.

this is just another way that you can use our mood board for the challenge and be in with a chance of winning a gift certificate to our store:
