Monochromatic Thank You Card

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  Now is the time for lots of Thank You cards to be sent, so that is what I am sharing.  Remember, all photopolymer stamp sets are ONLY $5 for liquidation!  When they are gone, they will be gone for good.
I used the Talking In Circles stamp set to create this card.  That set is great for many occasions!  I stamped the thank you sentiment circle with Catherine Pooler All That Jazz ink and die cut it with a stitched circle, then matted it with a scalloped stitched circle die cut.  The background was created with a stencil and Scrapbook.com Cyan group inks.  That was matted with a scalloped rectangle die cut.  I added crinkled seam binding before adhering everything to the card base and glued on a bow for the finishing touch.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

A Snowman and His Shadow

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). Thank you for stopping by the blog today! I'm pretty excited to share my card with you today, not because it's a fantastic card, but because I learned how to make shadows in a new way and I see so much potential for this technique. It truly is so easy to do.

I learned this technique from a video Lydia shared. You can check it out - HERE. Did I mention this is so easy! And fun!!!

I used four different Raisin Boat stamp sets to make my card. They are all on sale, as is everything in the SumMore Fun store, so don't delay... check out the great items available before they are gone. The store is closing the soon.

As per Lydia's directions, I first stamped the snowman (where I wanted him in my scene) and then also stamped a mask of him to use in creating the scene. He's from the
Raisin Boat Believe in Christmas stamp set.

After cutting out the mask, I covered him up and ten cut a mask of the snowy hillside, being sure to overlap it over the base of the snowman to keep him from "floating" in my scene.

I didn't have a background stamp so instead I used snowflake stamps (from three different Raisin Boat stamp sets - Dear SantaHoliday Hang Ups, and Tangled Tinsel) to create the snowy sky.

I then removed the snow bank mask and using the backside of the snowman stamp I stamped his shadow onto my paper. Isn't that clever? Thanks to Lydia... of course I would have never thought to do that without her "how to" video.

I then used the reverse piece of the snowbank I cut and protected the sky while blending some blue ink to the edge of the snowbank.

After that I simply removed the snowman mask and colored him. I also added a little blending of ink to the edge of the sky. I added three snowflake brads and then assembled the card.

This is such an easy technique to do. I would highly recommend it.

Confirmation Cross Card

Hello and happy Wednesday!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here.  Today I am sharing a Confirmation card that was created with the Raisin Boat Handle With Prayer stamp set.  Only the digital set is available on our website, but some of you may already have the physical set in your stashes!  PLUS while you are on the site, check out all the $5 stamp sets!!
The dove and sentiment are both from the Handle With Prayer set.  The dove was cut out with my Brother Scan N cut.  Additional craft items used on the card include: GMD Scalloped Stitched Rectangle die, Cottage Cutz Ornate Cross die, copper and white cardstock, and patterned paper with a blended watercolor look.  The background would be easy to recreate by blending Distress Oxide inks as well!  Adhesives used include liquid glue, ATG and foam tape behind the dove.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

A Pinecones and Evergreen Christmas

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). Thank you for stopping by the blog today! It's hard to believe that Christmas is less than a week away. WOW! By now you might have all of your Christmas cards made and sent, but then again, maybe not.

I have one more Christmas card to share with you. I actually used stamps from four different stamp sets - all found in the SumMore Fun store at liquidation prices (well, unless they've sold out by the time this blog post goes live).

You'll want to check out all the great deals in the SumMore Fun store; remember, the business will be closing in January and some things have already sold out.

Aboretum Leaves (the splashes of red)

Dear Santa (the pinecones)

No Loss for Words (the sentiment)

Tangled Tinsel (the sprigs of evergreen)

Winter Church Card

Hello all!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here.  It is with heavy hearts that we announce that SumMore Fun will be going out of business in January.  With that being said, you can grab lots of goodies at rock bottom prices until then!  Photopolymer sets for ONLY $5!   Shop now for the best selection.  I will continue to bring you weekly inspiration until the store is permanently closed.

I stamped the church from the O Holy Night stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with clear powder, then cut around it and colored it with Artify markers.  The patterned papers are from The Paper Studio's Away in a Manger paper pad.  I used two oval die cuts to place behind the church.  The church was popped up with foam tape and I added gold Pearl Pen dots on the teal oval and snow marker to the church to embellish.  I didn't feel that this card needed a sentiment because of all the words on the background paper.  Don't you agree that the church stamp is very peaceful and welcoming?!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Song Birds

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). Thank you for stopping by the blog today!

By now you've likely heard the news that SumMore Fun will be closing in January. I am sure you will join me in wishing Sabrina the very VERY best, knowing this decision was not an easy one for her to make.

I would suggest you head over to the SumMore Fun store to see if there is anything you'd like to purchase. With liquidation prices things will sell out and when they do, there will not be any more of them. In fact, several things have already sold out. Remaining clear stamp sets are selling for $5 each. There are several red rubber stamps available for $1 and some slightly more than that. The last I checked she still had some Copic Markers as well as some other items, too, so yes... head over to the store and check out the deals.

I used two of the liquidation stamp sets to make a card to share today, too - Free As a Bird and No Loss for Words.

I feel certain those birds are song birds, so the "Just a Note" sentiment was perfect for my card.

I also used a couple of the image on the inside of my card...

Snowman Christmas Card

For today's project, I used the following items from the previously released Holiday Glow Pack: Believe in Christmas photopolymer stamp set, dark green linen texture card base, white card base, and designer card stock.  I used GMD scalloped stitched rectangle die and CC scalloped stitched circle die with a green card base to create those card layers.  The patterned paper background was actually strips of leftover designer cardstock from the Holiday Glow Pack that I just adhered together and cut with a GMD stitched rectangle die.  I wrapped Holly Berry Trendy Twine around it before adhering it to the green layer.  The focal point included the snowman and sentiment from the Believe in Christmas stamp set and they were in black ink.  I colored the snowman with Artify alcohol markers.  The finishing embellishment was two GMD silver foil enamel dots.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play).

If you aren't currently getting the SumMore Fun newsletter you need to rush over to the website and sign up... because you're going to want to be in the know. Sabrina, the owner, is having some GREAT deals and you don't want to miss out. For instance, throughout the month of December she's offering a sweet deal - Buy two stamp/sets and get one free! The promotion includes all stamps - individual stamps, sets, digital, even the stamp packs. Buy two, get one free!

If that's not good enough, remember that shipping is free for orders over $10. WOW!

So... I decided to try to stretch myself and use stamps from three (Buy two Get one FREE) on my cad today. I actually used four stamp sets.

Here is what I created to share today:
This card uses the following items from the Holiday Glow PackHoliday Glow stamp set, and Believe in Christmas stamp set.  I started by stamping the lamp post from Holiday Glow with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and heat embossing it with WOW white pearl embossing powder.  It gives a dark metal look that I love!  I then stamped the sign shape in green and the street name in black.  I stamped the sleigh and reindeer silhouette from the Believe in Christmas stamp set in dark gray ink.

To create the snowy scene, I masked off a circle to look like a moon in the corner and proceeded to ink blend with the following Distress Oxides:  Fossilized Amber, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot.  Once it was blended how I liked, I used white pigment ink to stamp snowflakes from Holiday Glow all over the background.  I then splattered white acrylic paint on the background and added torn strips of white paper at the bottom to look like snow.  The finishing touch was adding Sky Glitter Pearl Pen dots all over the background and along the snow at the bottom.  It really added more sparkle and shine to the card!  I love how magical this scene turned out!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Christmas Eve

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). Thank you for stopping by the blog today! I hope you are enjoying the cards that Beth and I have been sharing with you these past few days.

Today I have two more cards to share with you featuring the Limited Edition Holiday Glow Pack.

Contents of the
Holiday Glow Pack include:

1 - Holiday Glow photopolymer stamp set
1 - O Holy Night photopolymer stamp set

1 - Believe in Christmas photopolymer stamp set
3 -dark green linen texture card bases
3 -white card bases
6 -dark green linen texture envelopes
5 -6” x 6” designer card stock
5 -3.5” x 8.5” designer card stock

Regular Retail Price Separately: $49.99.
Pack Price: $39.99

There is a limited number of these packs! There are no more packs after those sell out. Don't wait to grab it!

On my first card I chose to use the gorgeous church stamp from the O Holy Night stamp set as well as the words Holy Night. I really like that each word is a separate stamp; allowing more creativity in how it's used. The word "O" is also included in the set so users can stamp O Holy Night if they choose to.

For my second card I used the Believe in Christmas stamp set. I love the little boy (isn't he cute???) and I always like seeing silhouettes of Santa and his Sleigh in front of a moon, so I created that look using a circle stencil and some yellow ink.

May we all see Christmas through the eyes of a child!
