Sail Away for a Happy Birthday

Hello, Jeanette here from the design team (and the Cre8tive Play blog) with a card featuring two great Victorine Originals stamp sets: Ship Set and Floral and Sayings. This is the first time I've used the Ship Set, but Floral and Sayings is quickly becoming one of my favorites!

The  background piece on my card is one single piece of a beach-themed designer paper and it seems the perfect backdrop for the sailboat. The seagull is a brad.

The Ship Set has some amazing sayings in it, but I needed a birthday card, so I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Floral and Sayings set to complete my card.

I added the small sailboat (plus a strip of the designer paper) to the inside of my card...

Enjoy your day today, and be sure to make time for crafting!

Older and Wiser Owl Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  The card I am sharing with you uses Raisin Boat's Night Owl stamp set.  Isn't it fun?!
I stamped the large owl, tree branch, and sentiment from the Night Owl stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black and Rich Cocoa inks.  I colored the owl with Spectrum Noir Markers (MB1, MB3, GY3) then wrapped Grape Licorice Trendy Twine around the stamped panel.  I popped that up with foam tape.
I'll admit, I had a lot of fun choosing papers to match that stamp set!  I ended up using TPS Stargazer 4.5x6.5 paper pad.  The iridescent foil treatment on the stars really added a lot to the card.  The final embellishment was silver Pearl Pen.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

A Big Thanks

Hello, Jeanette here from the design team. I'm so glad you've stopping by the blog today. You can find me here on the SumMore Fun blog every Sunday as well as on my personal blog - Cre8tive Play.

I've used two different Victorine Originals stamp sets to make today's card:

Florals and Sayings (Thank You)

This sunflower is a gorgeous stamped image - big enough that it nearly fills an A2 card size, which is awesome, since sunflowers are supposed to be large. And what a beauty to color!

I added a Lady Bug Brad to the center of the sunflower:

Thanks again for stopping by! I hope you have a beautiful day filled with sunshine!

Thinking Of You Cards

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  The card I am sharing with you uses the Raisin Boat stamp set called Talking in Circles.  The Talking in Circles set is on a SUPER sale right now...only $4 for the whole set!  Today I am showing you how easy it is to make cards with.
As many of you know, I am a HUGE fan of patterned papers.  I recently purchased the 6x6" TPS Hamilton Heights paper pad and wanted to play with it.  The Talking in Circles stamp set worked perfectly with it!
I stamped the thinking of you stamp with dark blue ink and then cut around it with my Brother Scan N Cut. I matted that with a scalloped circle die cut and popped that up with foam tape onto the card. The only embellishment I used on these cards was Ice White Pearl Pen. I didn't think they needed anything more!
As you can see, I made two different versions of this card, one with a dark background and one with a light.  Which one do you prefer?  Inspiration for this card sketch was from HERE.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Flowers for Your Birthday

Hello, Jeanette here from the design team. I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today!

Beth showed you a gorgeous birthday card (Purple and Gold Birthday Card) on Wednesday and I'm here to share yet another card using the same stamp set that Beth used - Victorine Originals Florals and Sayings. I just recently attained this stamp set and immediately fell in love with it. It is truly a gorgeous set with lots of images and sentiments.

The floral pieces will look awesome no matter what color you use to stamp them. For my card I decided to go with black ink to give it a more classy (almost elegant) look.

Have I mentioned how much I love this stamp set!?!?!?

It's just one of the many stamp sets (and other products, too) offered at the SumMore Fun online store

Purple and Gold Birthday Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  The card I am sharing with you uses one of my all time FAVORITE stamp sets...Victorine Originals' Floral and Sayings.  You can see several other cards that I have created with that stamp set HERE.
Using my stamp platform, I inked up the flower with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink.  I wanted a little variation, so I re-inked the stamp touching only the edges with Dusty Concord DO and stamped over the flower again.  You can see it in the picture below if you look closely.  Then I stamped the sentiment in black ink, once again using the stamp platform for perfect placement.
I added metallic gold thread around the sentiment and gold Pearl Pen accents.  Other products used include GMD stitched rectangle die, GMD scalloped stitched rectangle die, white, black, and gold cardstock as well as paper from TPS Tattered & Worn paper pad. Adhesive used was ATG.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Goin' Places

As one of the design team members, I can sincerely tell you that we are always thankful for YOU - the ones who come to the blog to check out what we've been making. I hope you are inspired every single time you stop by the blog. For today's card I'm making the very first card I've made with the Raisin Boat Big Rig Party stamp set. Oh what a fun set it is!

Just look at it:

I envision making lots - and lots - of cards with that truck. It is a great stamp! And the companion pieces make it so easy to add graffiti, logos, and more to the truck itself.

Maybe one of the reasons I like the truck so much is it takes me back to my childhood. No, my dad was not a truck driver. My dad was a Minute Man for Boeing and one of the traits of the job was we moved every 3-6 months all over the western half of the United States. Suffice it to say, I was a passenger in a car - A LOT! And the scene in front of us was often the semi rigs that traveled the roads. Truckers were a great group in those days. On more than one occasion, we had truckers help us out in a bind. So I respected them and the work they did, even as a small child.

In honor of those memories,
I created this card:

Those truckers were indeed going places and it seemed as though I was following along. LOL!

It doesn't show up well in the photo, but I added some rhinestones to the round lights/reflectors on the back of the truck.

I also added some white and star brads to the night sky.

Enjoy your day - try to make time for some crafting! And head over to the SumMore Fun store to check out all the great stamps and products there.

Girl and Boy Baptism Cards

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  The cards I am sharing with you use two stamp sets from Raisin Boat; God's Child and Flourishing Thoughts.
I stamped the Baptismal gown from the God's Child set onto a panel of white cardstock with black ink.  I then added a die cut frame around it.  The sentiment is from the Flourishing Thoughts stamp set and was also stamped in black ink.
Here is a close up of the Baptismal gown panel.  I added clear glitter Wink Of Stella on it for extra sparkle!  The background panel was die cut using a scalloped stitched rectangle die.  As you can see, all of the papers I used (besides the white cardstock) have a pearlescent finish to them.  They are from The Paper Studio's Sophisticated Sparkle paper pad and they are so beautiful!
I also made a boy themed card just by switching the background paper and washi tape color.  The finishing touch for these cards was a trio of Ice White Pearl Pen dots in the top right corner.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Happy Times

Hello, Jeanette here from the design team. I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today.

It's Story Time!

Red Rubber Stamp

This vintage looking stamp is just precious. Look at all the detail. And what a sweet time that mom is having with her son and daughter, reading to them from a favorite book.

Instead of coloring the clothing, I opted to add some light color (blue) to the lines to create some shadows. I thought this allowed the rest of the image to stand out, as well as the details of their clothing.

I considered adding some Antique Linen to the edges of the die-cut circle to enhance the vintage feel, but decided against doing that, thinking the white would make the image the focal part of the card instead of blending into the busy designer paper.

I rounded opposite corners - for some pizzazz, added some pearls for embellishment, and the simple design is complete.

I hope your day includes time for stamping as well as time for enjoying a good book. I know I try to make time for both every day.
