Pretty paper...

Do you ever get those ideas in your head, then find yourself halfway through the project asking WHAT WAS I THINKING? That was most definitely this project - but I'm so happy I stuck it out as I LOVE the finished project!

I made this beautiful card first, and absolutely loved it. So, I thought to myself, that would make a beautiful background for a page in my sister's wedding album - recreate it! I think I forgot how much work it would be...

For both backgrounds, I started with a white cardstock base and then had fun with my distress oxide inks. I smooshed them on my craft mat, spritzed with water and then smooshed them on my paper in different directions/places/etc.

Once I was happy with my colors and the paper was dry, I got out the beautiful Raisin Boat All in Toile stamp. Seriously, isn't it gorgeous!

I'm a huge fan of purple, so that's the color I went with. I used my purple ink, and then embossed each flower. For the scrapbook page, using my stamp positioning tool made this SO MUCH EASIER! I designed a section, and then repeated it multiple times, just by moving my paper around. Truth be told, I kind of forgot how long it would take to emboss all this! That stamp embossed looks so cool!

To finish off my card, I added a sentiment from the Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp, some coordinating fiber and nuvo drops.

To finish off my scrapbook page, I added some fiber and some metal embellishments.
