Waterfall Card

I recently made a waterfall card for a swap on my list group, and had so much fun doing it.  But I'm not the kind of person who loves measuring things out, so I created a pattern to make the card a little easier, and I thought I would share it with all of you.

If you haven't seen a waterfall card, here's a short video of one.

To make this card, first you'll need to print out the pattern I created.  Click here for the pattern.  I would suggest printing on a light colored card stock.  I printed mine on a cream color.

You'll need a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch card to put the waterfall mechanism on.  I chose a green card, and stamped it with my Large Flourish stamp using Moonlight White Brilliance ink.  Then you'll need to cut out all the pattern pieces, score and fold the dotted lines, and lay them out like this:

The next thing you'll want to do is stamp on the back of the four squares.  After stamping your squares, the next step is adhering Section E to the top of Section F.  Apply your adhesive over the text on Section F.  After putting that together, it should look like this:

Fold your long strip along the dotted lines above Section A, and place on top of your card.  It is time to fasten it to the front of your card.  I used my small hole punch, punched through the two circles on my pattern and through the front of the card, and attached it with two brads.  This is what it should look like now:

Now it's time to add your squares.  I like to start with Square D, and work my way up.  Square D is the only square you will put adhesive on the entire square.  Just add your adhesive and apply the square on the top of Section D and Section E.  It just fits right under the dotted lines, like this:

Next, apply adhesive to Section C and put your Square C on top.  Continue to adhere your squares on up the line, until you've got Square A adhered to Section A.  It should look something like this:

Now all you need to do is add the Pull tab to the bottom and you're done!  I've seen ribbon or cord added where I put the Pull tab, if you would rather have something like that for them to pull on.

Here's the final card!

I used 10546-Flower and Stem Set on my first three squares, and 10512-All Occasion Set for the Happy Spring.  The background is 74753-Large Flourish.

Happy Stamping!
