Old Fox Birthday Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  The card I am sharing with you uses SumMore Fun's Foxy Lady stamp set.
I stamped the fox image and sentiment from the Foxy Lady stamp set with VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto white cardstock, clear heat embossed them, and watercolored the image with Distress Oxide inks in Rusty Hinge and Black Soot.   While that was waiting to dry, I stamped a second fox image onto a post it note and die cut around it with my Brother Scan N Cut to make a mask for the image.  When dry, I masked the fox, then used a geometric stencil and new makeup brushes to add color to the background in Broken China and Lucky Clover Distress Oxides.  The makeup brushes worked like a charm!  I then die cut the panel with a wonky stitched rectangle die.  I embellished with Paradise and Mai Tai enamel dots and the card was complete!

Here is what the entire BRAND NEW Foxy Lady stamp set looks like!  Isn't it so cute?!
Also available with this new release are Foxy Lady stickersdigi papers6x6 papers and 12x12 papers!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Foxy Birthday Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  The card I am sharing with you uses SumMore Fun's Foxy Lady stamp set.
I stamped the fox image from Foxy Lady stamp set with VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto white cardstock and watercolored it with Distress Oxide inks in Rusty Hinge and Black Soot.  Once it was dry, I die cut it with a stitched circle die and matted it with another circle die cut.  The patterned papers are from DCWV's Natural stack.  I added some Creamy Pumpkin Trendy Twine to the banner and added GMD Sophisticated Enamel Dots as accents.
For the sentiment, I wasn't sure how well it would stamp on the metallic circles of the patterned paper, but it turned out great!  I used the embossing buddy on the paper, then stamped the sentiment from the Foxy Lady stamp set with VersaMark using my stamp platform.  When embossing, I like to re-stamp 2 or 3 times to make sure I have total coverage!  I then heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Here is what the entire BRAND NEW Foxy Lady stamp set looks like!  Isn't it so cute?!
Also available with this new release are Foxy Lady stickersdigi papers6x6 papers and 12x12 papers!

Purple and Gold Birthday Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  The card I am sharing with you uses one of my all time FAVORITE stamp sets...Victorine Originals' Floral and Sayings.  You can see several other cards that I have created with that stamp set HERE.
Using my stamp platform, I inked up the flower with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink.  I wanted a little variation, so I re-inked the stamp touching only the edges with Dusty Concord DO and stamped over the flower again.  You can see it in the picture below if you look closely.  Then I stamped the sentiment in black ink, once again using the stamp platform for perfect placement.
I added metallic gold thread around the sentiment and gold Pearl Pen accents.  Other products used include GMD stitched rectangle die, GMD scalloped stitched rectangle die, white, black, and gold cardstock as well as paper from TPS Tattered & Worn paper pad. Adhesive used was ATG.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Giddy Up Cards

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  The cards I am sharing with you use two Raisin Boat stamp sets called Giddy Up! and Urban Cowgirl.  Those sets work so well together!
First up, the sleek masculine card.  I promised masculine cards for you this month, and here it is!  The stitched background decoration was from the Urban Cowgirl set and the sentiment is from Giddy Up!.  They were stamped in Pumice Stone Distress Oxide.  I love how the Distress Oxides POP off of the dark cardstock!  I used my stamp platform to ensure all of my stamps were lined up perfectly and to double stamp the Distress Oxides to make them brighter.
I stamped the horse head from Giddy Up! using Versafine Onyx Black ink and die cut around it using a GMD slash stitched oval die.  I also matted behind that with the larger size of die cut.  Those were popped up with foam tape.  The only embellishment was three silver adhesive dots at the bottom.
Of course I had to make a card with pink for those cowgirls too!  It was made in the same manner, but this one is more rustic than the previous card.
The main differences are the stamped background stitching in Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide and the coloring in of the horse.  I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink and my aqua brush to watercolor the horse.  I thought it matched the background cardstock well!  I also stamped the sentiment in black on this card to make it stand out better from the brown.
Make sure you join me again next Wednesday for another set of cards that can be loved by guys, gals, and kids alike!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Guest design team member Ashley's coldest weather

Good morning today we are joined by the lovely Ashley from The Corner of Markland and Main
she has made a stunning card using our Winter Heart and Sole stamps set:

To make her card base, she started with watercolor paper and used a distress oxide ink to paint the background, using an embossing heat gun to dry it. She then flicked some water on it to create that oxidized look.

Next, using a puffy white embossing powder she heat emboss the tree which gave it a snow effect. The sentiment was added with a fine detail gold embossing powder. For a finishing touch she added some white twine from my stash.

Ashley this is a gorgeous card, thanks for joining us and if you like what you see please hop over to Ashley's blog and leave her some love.

Birthday Dots Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  The card I am sharing with you uses the Victorine Originals Watercolor Snowman, Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts, and Raisin Boat Guilty Pleasures stamp sets.
I started by using the two circle stamps from the Watercolor Snowman set and randomly stamped them using Distress Oxides in Worn Lipstick, Broken China, Dusty Concord, and Squeezed Lemonade.  I spritzed water on it to create the oxidized look.  I matted that with a scalloped rectangle die cut in black cardstock.  The sentiment was stamped from Flourishing Thoughts in black ink.  I embellished with Twisted Blue Berry Trendy Twine.
For the inside of the card, I stamped one more circle from the Watercolor Snowman set, and the sentiment and images from the Guilty Pleasures stamp set.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Ice Skating Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  The card I am sharing with you uses the Raisin Boat Winter Heart and Sole stamp set.
I created the winter woods scene using the pine tree from the Winter Heart and Sole stamp set and Distress Oxides in Pine Needles and Walnut Stain.  I stamped a tree, then did a second and even third generation stamping without re-inking.  I liked the feeling of depth that created.  Then I used an aqua brush and Pumice Stone Distress Oxide and made the ground around the trees.  The icy water was created by watering down Sapphire Swift Sparkling Unicorn Spit and painting it on the cardstock.  It is so shimmery in real life!  I then stamped the ice skates from Winter Heart and Sole in black and matted it with die cut circles.  I watercolored them with Pumice Stone Distress Oxide and undiluted Sapphire Swift Sparkling Unicorn Spit.  I added some In The Navy Trendy Twine and the sentiment stamp and the card was complete!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Pine Tree Silhouette Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  The card I am sharing with you uses their Raisin Boat Merry Nature stamp set.
I started out by stamping the trees and the sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossing it with WOW White Pearl embossing powder.  It makes such a beautiful pearly silver look!  Then I used Distress Oxide inks in Faded Jeans, Broken China, and Black Soot to blend in a winter night look.
I splashed water on the background, making the Distress Oxides lift a bit, then added dots of liquid applique so it looked like snow.  I mounted the stamped rectangle onto a scalloped rectangle die cut in black and the card was complete!

So proud of you!

Hi guys! It's Jamie, from Doin' it the Wright Way, and I'm back! My scrapbooking buddy had a need for a card the other day, and I told her she couldn't go to the store to buy one, that I wanted to make one for her.

I had just bought some new dies after seeing all the lovely creations the oh-so-talented Beth makes with them, so I wanted to give them a try.

After being told the recipient's favorite color was blue, I, of course, busted out my distress oxide inks. Seriously, if you don't have any yet, you NEED to get some. They're addicting, AND, they're on sale over at our SumMore Fun shop!

Then I got out my new peek-a-boo die set and had fun creating this card. I simply added two layers of white cardstock for the die-cut portion and glued it all together.

For my sentiment, I needed to use the word proud. You'll never guess what stamp set I found it on!?! Raisin Boat's Strokes of Pride stamp set. It was perfect for my sentiment, even though it's a patriotic set! I stamped it with my distress oxide and then embossed it with a clear powder.

To finish it off, I added some coordinating blue gems and some embroidery floss.

A couple of days after the event, the recipient of the card reached out to me and asked me to make her some thank you cards.

For the first card, I used the super cool Retro Mod reversible embossing folder (also on a HUGE sale) for the dark blue cardstock. I added it to a white card base.

For my sentiment, I used the beautiful Victorine Originals thank you stamp, and embossed it onto white cardstock. I inked the edges and added some clear rhinestones to finish it off.

For the second card, I went back to my distress oxides and had some fun "flicking" the color off a paint brush onto a piece of white cardstock. I added some washi tape and adhered that all onto an embossed card base.

For the sentiment, I went back to my go-to sentiment stamp set of Raisin Boat's Flourishing Thoughts. I inked the edges of my sentiment piece and then attached it with pop dots. Some round coordinating gems finished it off.

Thanks for checking out my latest creations. I'm gearing up to attend a few scrapbooking crops this month, so hope to have some scrapbooking layouts to share with you soon!

Don't forget to check out our new challenges in our new group on Facebook at SumMore Fun Creations. And definitely check back in with us every day next week to see the NEW STAMP SETS that are being released!

A versatile shooting star

Hello! I was inspired by my fellow design team member's shooting star creation this week, so I thought I'd create my own cards with this Victorine Originals Celestial stamp set.

The first card I made for my niece's 2nd birthday that is this weekend. I used distress oxide inks for my background - smooshing, splattering and drying in layers. I added a spritz of pearl paint over the top, too, to give it more shimmer.

I wanted the shooting stars to be fun and whimsical, so I used different colors and different directions to put them all over my card. Then, I grabbed the wonderful Raisin Boat Flourishing Thoughts stamp set.

I put my sentiment on a separate piece of paper, and then added the shimmer spray over the top again - it kind of gave the sentiment a water-color effect, but I'm okay with that since it goes with the rest of the card. I matted it on a piece of coordinating cardstock and used pop dots to pop it off the card. To finish it off, I added clear sparkles all over.

Since I was having so much fun with both the distress oxide inks and the shooting star stamp, I decided to make a second card with a totally different theme.

I used the distress oxide inks for my background, and then topped it with the pearl paint shimmer spray.

I stamped the shooting star stamp multiple times along the side of my card, and then I added a Christmas sentiment. I love the font and everything about the Victorine Originals Celebrate the Season stamp.

To make the sentiment pop a bit more, I embossed it with an opalescent embossing powder, which gives it an awesome shine. I finished off my card with some coordinating colors of Nuvo drops.
Thanks so much for checking out my latest creations! Don't forget to check out our newest mood board and link up your creations for a chance at an awesome prize! You can use any part of the board that inspires you!

Happy crafting!

Be You!!

Be You!!

Good Morning crafty friends.
I am up
today to share a
Card I made using Victorine Originals Double take Butterfly stamp and a stamp from Raisin boats Imagine set.

I started out by stamping the shaded Butterfly part first in one color and then stamped the outline over the top in a different color.
I use Distress Oxide inks to stamp and then used them to distress all around my paper.
By doing this I am able to play around with my backgrounds and distressing to create something unusual and fun.
I stamped the Be You sentiment amd used my Fiskars 1/4 in. Circle punch to punch it perfectly.
I also added another butterfly using my Fiskars butterfly punch and distressing it with the inks and outlining it using glitter gel pens.

Thats it for me today.
Hope on over to my blog to see my other creations using SumMoreFun stamps.

National Anthem.....

Hello & Happy Thursday Everyone!
DT Theresa here from Theresa's Crafty Creations
and it's my day to take over the blog!!!

Today I thought I would share a Red, White, & Blue Card-

With the fourth of July coming up I felt the need
to create some Patriotic cards that I will mail
off to some of my friends!

I'm using the TOTALLY AWESOME
from Victorine Originals!! I gotta say this was
so easy to use and I LOVE how my background turned out!!

I used my Distress oxide inks in Candied Apple & Salty Ocean
Then I grabbed my Picket Fence Distress ink and stamped
the center in the white ink - It looked like it might fade out
so I pulled out some White embossing powder and poured
it over the center, part and heat embossed it

It totally made a huge difference and looks great between
the Red & Blue Words ...
As you can tell I did all of that on some Kraft Cardstock
And since it looks so nice, I didn't want to
take away from it too much --

So I decided to use a piece of Vellum and stamp
U.S.A. & an Eagle from the Strokes of Pride Raisin Boat
Stamp set. I used some Ultra Fine Black Embossing
powder on that part and I think it turned out nice...

I felt my card needed a little something Extra --
So I die cut 2 Medium sized stars in Blue & Red and then
2 tiny Stars in Silver then I adhered them
in the areas were the vellum was.

-- Just a closer look at my card and the Stamp Sets I used --

Thinking of you

Thinking of you!!

Good Morning crafty friends.
Amy here
today to share a
Thinking of you card I made using Raisin Boat's "Oops a daisy" stamp set.

As you can tell I've been playing around with my Distress Oxide inks again.
I started out by blending a few colorful colors in my background.
I then stamped my daisy images directly onto the colors.
I then blended black all around the edges.
I chose a few colorful papers to layer it.
I stamped the Thinking of you sentiment and attached it using 3D foam tabs.

Here is a closer look at those colors.
