Dotty For Birthdays

Good morning, Sharon from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog today.

My card today is great for seeing dots:

I have used the Dots Stamp Set. Starting with the Happy Birthday ribbon I stamped this down the side of white card. I then stamped the bright pink dots. Masking some of these off I added a few purple ones and last but not least I added my pale pink ones. As I stamped each color I added a word dot.

I matted a white card base with coordinating purple card before adding my stamping card.
I then added enamel dots in matching colors.

This set has so many stamps there is also a coordinating sentiment as well as more dots and a dotty tag!

Kindness

Good afternoon, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog today.

I hope you are all entering our challenge - don't forget you can win a gift certificate to spend on our huge collection of stamps!

Today's card Is a very simple one that fulfills the theme from our current mood board:

I stamped the Large Stemmed Daisy stamp and the Kindness is to the Heart What Sunshine is to the Flowers sentiment with white opaque ink onto black card.

I had to stamp a few times to get a good level of ink. This is where the Tim Holtz Stamping Platform earns it's worth - you don't need to worry about getting perfect placement every time as long as your card stays in place you and stamp over and over again!
Once my image was stamped clearly I matted it onto some pink card and a white card base A few matching enamel dots placed around the image just balanced the design.

Pop up Valentine's Day Hearts

Good Morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog today.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

What better way to celebrate the day than with red and pink with hearts!

This is the front of my card, I have used 2 sentiment stamps that do compliment each other, first I started with the larger Happy Valentine's Day stamped in the center of my card in red I then multi stamped Dot Happy Valentine's Day with pink ink all around the rest of the card.

When you open the card it pops with hearts:

Once I'd made up my card insert which is a die set I stamped the Medium Sketch Heart on 4 piece of white card rotating them so they face opposite ways. These were then matted onto white card and adhered to the pop up section of the card.
My front was matted in the same way and added to the card I then used a few enamel dots as embellishments.

Don't forget you still have a few more days to enter our moodboard challenge you can find the details here - just add all those Valentine's cards you have been making - I'm sure they will fit the theme:

Be Mine, Valentine

Good morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog today.

Valentine's Day is only a week away so I thought I would share a bit of my love with you all:

I chose a scalloped edge card base and stamped it all over with the Conversation Heart Stamp set.
I used a number of colors trying to keep them pastel shades like the candy. I then stamped the Be Mine, Valentine sentiment onto a separate piece of white card, I rounded the corners of this and matted it onto a piece of coordinating pink card.
This was then added to the center of my card using foam squares. Lastly I added some pink ribbon and bow to the top of the card.

As hearts are the main focus of the current moodboard challenge this design fits right in with it.

Flower Box

Good morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog today.

Today's card is a folding flower box creating using 2 stamp sets:

I made up a card box and decorated this with pretty pink, white and turquoise papers. I then used the Curly Cute Stamp set to stamp out a number of flowers and framed flowers in the same colors. The frames were cut out and placed around each side of the box. I fussy cut the single flowers and glued these to strips of acetate and attached them at different heights inside the box.

I then stamped the frame again and added a sentiment from the Brush Floral stamp set into the center of this. Again this was cut out and added to the back of the box:

The box is made in such away that it will fold and fit inside a 6x6in envelope.

The colors look darker if the photos but they are perfect for the moodboard challenge over on the blog:

Hello from the Heart

Good morning, Sharon from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog today. This cold weather looks as though it is in for the duration of winter here so I thought I'd brighten up the day with some flowers.

These little flowers and sentiment are from the Brush Floral set. I stamped the flowers using aqua markers and fussy cut them, there are plenty of other flowers and leaves among the set but I wanted a simple look. I added white enamel dots to the centers and shaped them before adding them to my wreath. my white card base was matted with 2 shades of purple card. and I adhered the wreath and flowers in place. My sentiment, stamped with purple ink on white card, was also matted with purple and added slightly under one of the flowers. A few purple enamels completed my design.

The Flowers Say Sentiment is also available as a stand alone stamp and would make a great addition to a sentiment collection if you didn't want the flowers

Don't forget our moodboard challenge is try something new this time - we all have new stash, new ideas or want to try new techniques so it's an easy one to start the year!

Kick up your heels

Good morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moos Crafty Place taking over the blog for the day.
Well was Santa good to all of you? I hope you had a blessed day and enjoyed time spent with loved ones.

My card today gives you a little insight into my personality:

Despite growing up in a city I am a country girl at heart, give me boots and jeans and I'm happy.

The stamps I have used today are from 2 Raisin Boat sets first one is Urban Cowgirl I have used the lasso, horseshoe and Urban Cowgirl sentiment from this set. Both stamped in a dark brown ink. I then Stamped the rest of my wording using the Goes with Mountain Country Gal set along with the boots which I colored with Copic Markers.
I used a white card base, matted with black card, I inked the edges of my topper with distress ink to tie in with the colors of my stamped images.

A few enamel dots completed my design.

So kicking up your heels fits in with the theme of the current moodboard challenge - who likes to party on New Year's Eve?

This shows that your card for our challenge doesn't need to be all sparkly just use the colors included in the mood board! There is still plenty of time to get your entries in

Happy Holidays

Happy Saturday! Sharon from Mollie Moos Crafty Place taking over the blog today and I'm getting so excited that the holidays are almost here.

Have you got all your cards done and sent? If not I'm show casing a very simple one that is great if you have multiples to do and it just uses one stamp set.

I used the pine bough from Raisin Boat's Holiday Hang Ups set and stamped it around 3 sides of white card using different shades of green ink. I then switched to red ink and stamped berries and my sweet little sentiment. An amber ink was used to stamp the stars.

I used a fine point pen to 'hang' these on the tree and added the small tied bow to the biggest one - again a stamp from the same set. This stamp set also has a number of Christmas ornaments with it so is packed full of possibilities.
Once stamped I then matted a white base with a silvery blue mirror card, red card and finally my stamped card.

for the theme I used the current challenge mood board choosing the colors and the pine boughs

There is still almost a week to get your entries in and with the all decked out theme we all have a card made that could be entered.

We Three Kings....

Hi, hope you are all having a great day.

Sharon here from Mollie Moos Crafty Place taking over the blog for the day showcasing a traditional card with a modern twist.

I used distress inks to make a night sky and stamped the Victorine Original stamp: Three Wise Men onto this. I matted a card base with black card. I then die cut and embossed a piece of silver mirror card and arranged this over my image so that it was visible through the oval aperture.

I then stamped The Wishing You Joys of The Season onto white card and matted this onto black and silver card. This was adhered to the top part of the card.

I love clean and simple cards and this is so easy to do using Sum More Fun stamps.
