Handy WOman Cards!

Hello!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here.  Have you been inspired by the recent cards we have been posting for the SumMore Fun blog using the Handy Man Pack?  Today's project is very different.  It is for the handy WOMEN in your lives!  I know many women who would love and deserve to get a card like this one.  I used the Raisin Boat Nailed It stamp set to create these.
I started with watercolor paper and a 4x6" acrylic block.  I smeared Distress Inks in the following colors onto the cube in random areas: Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, and Seedless Preserves.  I then spritzed the block with water and flipped it over onto the watercolor paper, sat a heavy object onto the block and let it sit for 5 minutes before removing the block.  I was thrilled by the way it turned out!  Once it was completely dry, I cut it in half to make 2 cards from the one background.

I used the an embossing buddy over the whole inked panel and positioned the image stamps where I wanted them.  Using a stamp platform, I stamped the images 3 times with Scrapbook.com white pigment ink to make sure I had great coverage on the watercolor paper, then heat embossed with white powder.  I kept the cards simple, only matting the panel with solid colors of cardstock, then stamping the sentiment in Scrapbook.com Candy Shop Pink ink.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
