Wood Planks Card

Hello friends!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here.  Today I am sharing one last card that I created using the stamps from the Handy Man Pack.  Those sets are  RB Handy Man and RB Nailed It.

While this card may seem simple, I was very excited to make it!  I started by placing the wood plank stamp from the Handy Man stamp set into the center of my stamp platform and stamping it over and over on kraft cardstock with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide ink.  I simply would move my paper to wherever I thought it would be neat to have the next plank!  Once the paper was trimmed to the planks, I distressed the joints with Scrapbook.com Leather ink using a narrow blending brush.  Once that was adhered to the card base, I stamped the sentiment from Nailed It in black.  On a scrap piece of paper, I stamped the circular saw image from Handy Man, cut it out with my Brother Scan N Cut, and colored it with Artify markers before adhering it to the card with foam tape.  The final addition to the card were several tiny dots of silver Pearl Pen to mimic nail heads in the boards.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Happy Birthday with Asian Serenity Bold Flowers

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). Thank you for stopping by the blog today! I hope you have been enjoying the Handy Man cards that we've shared here on the blog for the past week. If you've missed them, please check them out. The Limited Edition Handy Man Pack is perfect for all of those manly cards.

Today I'm venturing into something different - a girly Birthday card.

I was sorting through some scrap designer papers and these just kind of grabbed my eye. Does that ever happen to you? Normally I start my creative process by choosing the stamps first, but this time was a totally different process. Papers first and then run with it. LOL! But I kind of like how the flowers in the Raisin Boat Asian Serenity Bold stamp set go so well with the flowers in the designer paper. It's a win!

I used a birthday sentiment from the Raisin Boat No Loss for Words stamp set because I always seem to need birthday cards.

Thanks again for stopping by the blog.

Handy WOman Cards!

Hello!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here.  Have you been inspired by the recent cards we have been posting for the SumMore Fun blog using the Handy Man Pack?  Today's project is very different.  It is for the handy WOMEN in your lives!  I know many women who would love and deserve to get a card like this one.  I used the Raisin Boat Nailed It stamp set to create these.
I started with watercolor paper and a 4x6" acrylic block.  I smeared Distress Inks in the following colors onto the cube in random areas: Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, and Seedless Preserves.  I then spritzed the block with water and flipped it over onto the watercolor paper, sat a heavy object onto the block and let it sit for 5 minutes before removing the block.  I was thrilled by the way it turned out!  Once it was completely dry, I cut it in half to make 2 cards from the one background.

I used the an embossing buddy over the whole inked panel and positioned the image stamps where I wanted them.  Using a stamp platform, I stamped the images 3 times with Scrapbook.com white pigment ink to make sure I had great coverage on the watercolor paper, then heat embossed with white powder.  I kept the cards simple, only matting the panel with solid colors of cardstock, then stamping the sentiment in Scrapbook.com Candy Shop Pink ink.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Here is what I made for today's inspiration...an oh-so-popular slimline style card using the Handy Man stamp set and 3.5” x 8.5” patterned cardstock from the Handy Man Pack.
I stamped several wood plan images in Scrapbook.com Charcoal ink onto gray cardstock and used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut them out.  I inked around the outside of them with Scrapbook.com Rainy Day ink for a little extra distressing and laid them out in a haphazard fashion on the patterned cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment, also from the Handy Man stamp set in Charcoal ink, matted it, and adhered it to the card front.  Totally Sky and Totally Blue Trendy Twines were the perfect match to embellish with and I added those around the sentiment before adhering the patterned paper to the matted card base.  Last, but not least, I placed a trio of silver foil enamel dots in the top corner.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Thankful Leaves Card and SNEAK PEEK!

Hello all!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today with this lovely fall card.  The leaves are all from the beautiful Raisin Boat Arboretum Leaves stamp set.  It is THE PERFECT stamp set for fall!

The card was very simple to make.  I stamped the leaf stamps from Arboretum Leaves with Distress Oxides in the following colors: Aged Mahogany, Rusty Hinge, Peacock Feathers, and Fossilized Amber all over the white cardstock.  I sprayed that panel with Mod Podge matte acrylic sealer so the ink wouldn't rub off.  I added Twisted Teal Trendy Twine around the panel and embellished with enamel dots.  For the sentiment, I started with a stitched circle die cut of vellum and glued two "thankful" sentiments to it.  The vellum circle was popped up with thin pieces of foam tape behind the sentiment so it wouldn't be visible from the front side.

Last, but definitely not least, I have a sneak peek for you!  In TWO DAYS we will be releasing another "pack".  I can't tell you what it is, but here is a teaser for you...
Be sure to stop back on Friday to see the entire pack!  It will be limited quantities and the last couple of packs we released sold out within 3 days.  I don't want you to miss out!

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

An Elegant Christmas Card

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). Thank you for stopping by the blog today! For today's card I'm using a stamp set that I just recently acquired - Dear Santa. Yes, I'm one of those - you know the type. The ones who never think it's too soon to be thinking of Christmas.

But just look at this cute set...

It has so much potential! I can see it looking vintage, distressed, and yes, even elegant. I went with the latter idea for my card.

Mostly white with just a pop of color looks elegant to my way of thinking.

I even added a bit of sparkle in the form of Stickles glitter blue on the center of the poinsettia.

I hope you like my Christmas card, but don't get too anxious for Christmas because next week there's going to be a new release and it isn't Christmas. Just take a peek at what's to come...

I can hardly wait for you to see this month's limited edition Bundle.

Thanks again for stopping by the blog.
