Panda Birthday Card

Hello everyone!  Don't you just love it when your kids craft with you?  Beth from Beth's Beauties here, and today I am turning my blog post over to my son, Levi, to let you know what he did to make this birthday card for his brother.

First I stamped a panda from What a Zoo, Too! using black ink. Second, I put black cardstock behind it, and added an action wobble. I wanted a fun background to go with pandas, so I chose green cardstock and embossed it with a zig zag embossing folder.

I added two stripes of washi tape to the green background.  Finally, I used a Silhouette Cameo and cut the 8 and Connor out and glued them to the paper.  Now, it is ready to give to him on his birthday!

Dinosaur Thinking of You

Hello friends! Beth from Beth's Beauties here today with another project.  Before I dive into what I created, let me share what the current promotion is at SumMore Fun:

Now on to my latest SumMore Fun project...

Once again, I used the Stimulus Package to create most of this.  The following items were in that package (package contents may vary): Thinking of You overlay, Twisted Citron Distress Stain, and the dinosaur patterned paper.  For the card, I prepared the overlay with the Distress Stain, then blended Pine Needles Distress Oxide on the edges.  I spritzed it with water, let it dry, then coated it with Mod Podge clear acrylic sealer so the color wouldn't transfer.  I added dinosaur paper and orange cardstock to the back so it would show through the letters.  Enamel dots finished off the card.

For the bookmark, I simply used the scrap paper from the sheet of paper from the Stimulus Package.  I made it double sided, adding my nephew's name to it.  That can be done with a printer or individual letter stamps.  Once laminated, I punched a hole in the top then added Trendy Twine in Totally Pumpkin, Totally Blue, and Twisted Lime.  A perfect set for the dino lover!

All the stamps on this card are from the SumMore Fun You Can stamp set...an absolute must have in my opinion!  It is great for cancer encouragement or for general encouragement too.  I stamped the cancer ribbon stamp with Scrapbook.com Pink Lemonade ink, which matched well with the MAMBI breast cancer cardstock I used on the center panel.  I used GMD scalloped stitched rectangle dies for the white panels and layered each panel with black cardstock to make them stand out.  The sentiment was stamped with Versafine onyx black ink.  Once adhered, I added a small dot of Glitter Pink Pearl Pen to each end of the sentiment for a little sparkle.

Steeping You In Love Card

Happy Sunday! Beth from Beth's Beauties here today. For a while we will be having weekend promos in which a certain stamp set will be free with your order of $35+. Awesome, right?! This weekend, through Monday, you can get the SMF Sundri's High Tea stamp set at no cost if you make a $35+ order.  Here is what I made for inspiration:

 I started by stamping the white strip of cardstock with the rose stamps from Sundri's High Tea using a stamp platform and Scrapbook.com inks in the Rose group, which made a beautiful ombre effect.  From there, I stamped the teacup from Sundri's High Tea in black, colored it with markers and used a CC stitched circle die to cut around it.  The sentiment is also from the Sundri's High Tea set and was also stamped in black.  I matted all the layers of paper with black cardstock and inked around the edges of the lighter papers with SB.com Sugar Cookie ink.  I added a GMD lacey snowflake die cut in green underneath the teacup circle, which was popped up with foam tape.  The finishing touch was two Pearl Pink Pearl Pen dots in the top right corner.  The background patterned paper is from The Paper Studio's Mint Berry paper pad.

Carefree Birds Card

Happy Sunday! Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  For a while, we will have weekend promos in which a certain stamp set will be free with your order of $35+. Awesome, right?! This weekend, through Monday, you can get the Raisin Boat Free As A Bird at no cost if you make a $35+ order.  Here is what I made for inspiration:

I started with a piece of watercolor paper and die cut it with a GMD stitched rectangle die.  I made the background by rubbing Distress Inks in Work Lipstick, Seedless Preserves, and Salty Ocean on an acrylic stamping block.  I lightly spritzed the block with water then flipped it upside down onto the watercolor paper.  I placed something heavy on the block and let it sit for 5 minutes, then removed the block and let it dry.  The next step was to stamp the images from the Free As A Bird set with VersaMark and heat emboss with white powder.  I really love that look!  The final bit of stamping was to add the Carefree sentiment from Free As A Bird in light blue.  I matted the white panel with solid cardstocks in the same colors as the ink.  The only embellishment I used was glitter pink Pearl Pen dots.  I think it turned out to be a very delicate and tranquil card!

I used white cardstock and a little scrap of designer paper (black and white stripe) for the entire card. Yes, even the blue piece. It is actually blended with two colors of Ranger Distress Oxide Ink (Broken China and Salty Ocean) and then I sprayed it with water to give a mottled look.

The stamp set has a lot of stamps in it - even a variety of birdcages - so I decided to use one on the inside of my card, too.

4th of July Birthday Card

Happy Sunday! Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today. We will be having weekend promos in which a certain stamp set will be free with your order of $35+. Awesome, right?! This weekend, through Monday, you can get the Raisin Boat Red, White & Blue stamp set at no cost if you make a $35+ order.  Here is what I made for inspiration:

I started with a white piece of cardstock and stamped the fireworks image from the Red, White & Blue set with VersaMark ink.  Two of them I heat embossed with gold powder, and the other 3 I embossed with a silver glitter powder.  I love how the gold looked on the white, but once the ink blending took place, the silver glitter was definitely more showy.  I then used Distress Oxides in Fossilized Amber, Candied Apple, and Blueprint Sketch to blend with brushes on the fireworks.  I then came back in with Chipped Sapphire DO to fill in the rest of the night sky, then blended Black Soot DO around the outside edge.  I also sealed the ink with a few light sprays of Mod Podge matte clear acrylic sealer so the ink wouldn't rub off.

 The sentiment stamp was also from Red, White & Blue, I simply masked off the USA at the bottom right portion of the stamp since this is going to be for my dad whose birthday is July 4th!  Once stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink, I heat embossed the sentiment with black powder.  I wound Celebration Trendy Twine in a circle and glued it to the card front before adhering the sentiment banner with foam tape.  The final touches were GMD New Years Sparkle enamel dots.

I used the fireworks stamp from the stamp set (and a variety of colors of ink) to create my own designer paper. I then cut it into the shape of a balloon using a die that I own.

I added some rhinestones to the centers of most of the bursts of fireworks to give it some sparkle. I also stamped the HAPPY birthday USA sentiment onto my card.

Strawberry Daiquiri Card

Happy Sunday!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  SumMore Fun is having weekend promos in which a certain stamp set will be free with your order of $35+.  Awesome, right?!  This weekend, through Monday, you can get the Raisin Boat Guilty Pleasures at no cost if you make a $35+ order.  Here is what I made for inspiration:

I started by stamping the strawberry daiquiri and swirl stamp over and over on an entire 8.5x11" sheet of red cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink.  That way I can make 4 of these cards!  I added white gel pen accents and glitter green Wink Of Stella pen to add color to the stamped red paper.

After die cutting the red and green layers with Gina Marie Designs dies, I stamped another daiquiri onto white cardstock and colored it in with Tombow Markers.  I die cut and layered that with Cottage Cutz dies.  I popped the oval up with foam tape and added two horizontal banners, one with a sentiment from the Guilty Pleasures stamp set, and the other a pink that matched the colored daiquiri.  The finishing touch was three GMD Winter Sparkle enamel dots.  Don't you just love all the bits of sparkle and shine on this card?!
