Happy Graduation Cards

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  The cards I am sharing with you use the Victorine Originals Happy Graduation stamp.  There is also a larger Happy Graduation stamp with the same design HERE.  I love the elegance of it!
I stamped the Happy Graduation stamp using my stamp platform and VersaFine Onyx Black ink.  I heat embossed it with clear powder and colored in the image.  For this red one, the red is just Sharpie marker and the yellow is Sparkling Unicorn Spit that I painted on undiluted.
I made other cards as well in different colors, only changing the color of Sparkling Unicorn Spit for the had and ribbon.
It was fun to change things up with these cards.  I embellished with various solid twists of Trendy Twine.  The star die cut is from the GMD double stitched in and out cut star dies.  Patterned papers are from DCWV's Dots, Stripes, and Plaids and Seaside Yacht stacks.
Note:  The hat and ribbon on this were actually painted with Dolly Firebird Unicorn Spit, but it came out  as a bright pink on the white paper instead of red.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Happy Holidays

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today.

I've been making Christmas cards for the Troops (I'm trying to get a box of them ready to donate) so I was excited to pull out the Raisin Boat Holiday Hang Ups stamp set this week. It's such a pretty set with an assortment of ornaments and that gorgeous branch. There are sentiments and other goodies in the set, too. And because there's no need for coloring, it makes it really fast and easy to put together a card with this set.

While I love the ornaments, I'm not overly crazy about the ink I used on the long ornament - I think next time I might heat emboss the ornaments instead. Wouldn't that look gorgeous?

I even stamped the branch and an ornament on the inside of my card...

I hope you have SumMore Fun today:

Embossed Birthday Greetings

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today.

I'm using the Floral and Sayings stamp set again this week, but I've tried something different with it. The touch turned out really subtle, but hopefully it shows up enough in the pictures for you to see it.

I used the WOW! Pop Embossing Powder to create the flowers element on the card. This embossing powder has both orange and pops of gray and white in it. It really is luscious!

I also used some glittery decorative tape on the card for a bit of glitz.

The Happy Birthday is not heat embossed to give it a different texture.

Mother's Day Quilt Card

Good Morning and Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  The card I am sharing with you uses the Raisin Boat Marvelous Mom stamp set.  This set is one that I fell in love with for the INSIDE sentiments it has.
As you can see, the outside of my card simply has the word "Mom" stamped on it from the Marvelous Mom stamp set.  I wanted the whole card to have a simple cozy feel to it :)  Other products used on the card front include a SDS Quilt Mini SVG , DCWV Country Floral cardstock, vellum, square lace die, Twisted Lime Trendy Twine, Skittles embellishments, and a scissors charm.  Adhesives include ATG, Scotch Tacky Glue, and mini Glue Dots.
Now check out the inside with the awesome sentiments that are included in the Marvelous Mom stamp set.  Perfect, right?!  No need to try to think up the perfect thing to write to your mom, this stamp set has you covered!
Here is a close up of the Marvelous Mom stamp set so you can see all the amazing sentiments it has in it.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Success Index Graduation Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here.  The card I am sharing with you uses the Raisin Boat Opportunity Knocks stamp set.  I made this one for my oldest son who is having his 6th grade graduation next week!
I used chalk paper to stamp the Opportunity Knocks stamps onto with VersaMark ink.  I then embossed with white embossing powder.  It turned out great!  All the papers are from the DCWV DIY Chalk Party stack.  I did use Tombow Xtreme adhesive on this card because the chalk papers are a little tougher to keep stuck together.
I added some Totally Lemon Trendy Twine around the center band, plus made a tassel out of it as well.  A few GMD New Years sparkle enamel dots and the card was finished!
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Play Ball!

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today.

Way back when (a.k.a. a few years ago) I received my very first Victorine Originals stamp set and it remains one of my most favorite stamp sets. I actually use it quite often and am always delighted when I have opportunity to do so.

Today is such a day - because in our family, yesterday was supposed to be the beginning of Softball Season. There's a church in town that hosts Softball for those with Special Needs. Our autistic son Brock loves playing softball. There are no outs, every run counts, and everyone cheers for those who run across home plate, no matter which team they're on.

But then again, some weeks are a RAIN OUT! Like yesterday.

Oh well...

Play Ball!

Rocket Grad Card

Good Morning!  Happy first day of May!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  The card I am sharing with you uses the Raisin Boat Opportunity Knocks stamp set.  It is a great set for graduations and other school related projects.
This card started with watercolor paper and did an acrylic block watercolor technique (you can see a video with a how-to here) and Distress Inks in Fired Brick, Mustard Seed, and Salty Ocean.  Once dry, I stamped the rocket and sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I used my embossing buddy on the top of the paper, then stamped the stars with VersaMark and heat embossed them with white powder.  I added doodles with black and white gel pens.  The only embellishments were Pearl Pens in black, blue, and red.  Products also used on this card include ATG, solid colored cardstock, and GMD Stitched rectangle dies.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Have SumMore Fun Celebrating a Birthday

Hello - Jeanette here from the design team (and from Cre8tive Play). I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today.

There are so many amazing stamps at SumMore Fun making it nearly impossible to have a favorite, but the one I used for today's card is one of my favorites. It is so versatile and beautiful and because there's no coloring involved, cards made with it go together so quickly. So if you're like me and you need fast cards - for birthdays, when someone's sick, to thank someone, etc., this could be a go-to stamp set for you.

Old Fox Birthday Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  The card I am sharing with you uses SumMore Fun's Foxy Lady stamp set.
I stamped the fox image and sentiment from the Foxy Lady stamp set with VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto white cardstock, clear heat embossed them, and watercolored the image with Distress Oxide inks in Rusty Hinge and Black Soot.   While that was waiting to dry, I stamped a second fox image onto a post it note and die cut around it with my Brother Scan N Cut to make a mask for the image.  When dry, I masked the fox, then used a geometric stencil and new makeup brushes to add color to the background in Broken China and Lucky Clover Distress Oxides.  The makeup brushes worked like a charm!  I then die cut the panel with a wonky stitched rectangle die.  I embellished with Paradise and Mai Tai enamel dots and the card was complete!

Here is what the entire BRAND NEW Foxy Lady stamp set looks like!  Isn't it so cute?!
Also available with this new release are Foxy Lady stickersdigi papers6x6 papers and 12x12 papers!

Easter Greetings

Hello, Jeanette here from the design team (and Cre8tive Play). I'm so glad you've stopped by the blog today. Let me wish you a Happy Easter!

For some extra fun today, I'm going to show you another way to use one of the Raising Boat stamp sets. The set is actually a Halloween stamp set. It's called Canines in Costume. It has some really cute dog stamps in it - each one in costume. There's also a pretty sassy looking cat in the set.

I looked at that dog in the bottom left corner and thought 'Why not?' Surely this can be an Easter image, too. Right?

Of course it can!

A little bit of Easter-themed designer paper in lovely spring colors and it's an Easter card.

I fussy cut those Easter eggs from the designer paper.

The next time you peruse the SumMore Fun online store, be sure to look with fresh eyes and dream of ways you can use the stamp sets.

Whatever your plans this Easter - enjoy your day! And if you get a chance, get inky!

Foxy Birthday Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  The card I am sharing with you uses SumMore Fun's Foxy Lady stamp set.
I stamped the fox image from Foxy Lady stamp set with VersaFine Onyx Black ink onto white cardstock and watercolored it with Distress Oxide inks in Rusty Hinge and Black Soot.  Once it was dry, I die cut it with a stitched circle die and matted it with another circle die cut.  The patterned papers are from DCWV's Natural stack.  I added some Creamy Pumpkin Trendy Twine to the banner and added GMD Sophisticated Enamel Dots as accents.
For the sentiment, I wasn't sure how well it would stamp on the metallic circles of the patterned paper, but it turned out great!  I used the embossing buddy on the paper, then stamped the sentiment from the Foxy Lady stamp set with VersaMark using my stamp platform.  When embossing, I like to re-stamp 2 or 3 times to make sure I have total coverage!  I then heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Here is what the entire BRAND NEW Foxy Lady stamp set looks like!  Isn't it so cute?!
Also available with this new release are Foxy Lady stickersdigi papers6x6 papers and 12x12 papers!

Foxy Lady is now available for purchase! The design team has shared lots of sneak peeks and now we're doing the real deal. I hope you've enjoyed seeing so many Foxy cards!

I cut the kit (baby fox) out with my Scan 'N Cut and popped it up a bit overlapping the Fox image. You could easily stamp them together using a masking technique or could even fussy cut the kit image if you don't own a Scan 'N Cut.

Have a great day and be sure to make time to get inky!
