Wishing You a Yappy Hallo-Weenie!

Hello, Jeanette here from the design team. I hope you come to the blog often - this is a GREAT place to visit. But just in case... surely there's no need to say this, but just in case you missed Friday's blog post about the changes to the SumMore Fun Challenges, you need to take a look. You can find that post HERE.

There is so much to love about these changes... and perhaps the best one of all is you now have an ENTIRE month to participate. So no excuses not to, right? And each challenge will be a theme challenge, which are just a whole lot of fun!

So, are you ready?

The SumMore Fun's first Monthly Theme Challenge is now going on - HERE!

Theme: All Dressed Up
(anything from Halloween, Thanksgiving, or even Christmas)

And it can be any of these art forms: Cards, ATC, Mixed Media, Scrapbook Layouts, Journaling, Planners. All are welcome.

I had no trouble whatsoever deciding what image I wanted to use. The weenie dog from the Raisin Boat Canines in Costume stamp set!

I chose that image for a very special reason. My cousin's son is currently deployed in Afghanistan.... and I'm pretty sure he's missing his beloved 4-legged Daisy from home. She's a weenie dog. Yep, the stamp was a perfect choice and my card is currently enroute to a special young man serving in the military in one of those places that faces many challenges, one of which is the 120 degree temperatures. I hope the card brings a smile to his face - and I hope it gets there in time for Halloween!

Because I was making the card specifically for a guy I tried to go mild on the embellishments and design of the card. But just look at that darling image! That's enough to make any card a good one, right?

Of course I had to put mustard on my hot dog -
no ketchup here!

Okay, I've rambled on long enough. Sheesh! You people have an All Dressed Up card/project to make! After all, you don't want to miss the chance to win! (Did I mention there would be prizes???)

You have until November 29th at 12 PM CDT to add your projects. The random winner will receive a $20.00 Gift Certificate to spend at the SumMore Fun online store! We will also be picking a design team favorite who will receive a $15 gift certificate.

I'll be watching to see what you create!

Christmas Wreath Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  The card I am sharing with you uses the brand new SumMore Fun Tangled Tinsel stamp set along with my stamp platform.  I just love how versatile those stamps are!
I used the pine bough and two different colors of green ink using the "wreath builder" technique to make the base of the wreath.  Then I stamped the berry sprig in red.  The final touch on the wreath was to stamp the bow in red as well!  I added red and iridescent Stickles in the berries.  The wreath was die cut around with stitched circle dies.
The background papers were from The Paper Studio's Rustic Noel paper pad.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder, then added three dots of gold Stickles next to it.
This card follows the Sketch Challenge SumMore Fun has going on right now! Here is the inspiration photo for it.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

I'm Just Here for the Candy

Hello... Jeanette here. Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

Did you enjoy the new release fun here on the blog? I sure hope so! The design team had a great time with the Sneak Peeks and then the New Release Blog Hop.

I hope you shopped and shopped and shopped some more. After all, there were FOUR new fantastic sets!!!

For today's card though... I'm focusing on Halloween! It's almost here, after all.

This cute little witch and sentiment are part of the Halloween Kids stamp set. It is a GREAT set! And being one with a sweet tooth, I can honestly say I am always here just for the candy. ;)

My card really was quite easy to make. First I stamped the image/sentiment.

Then I chose some papers to use, so I'd be sure to color appropriately. (I usually choose papers before coloring.)

After that, I just played around with a design. I admire people who use sketches successfully, but for me it's more of a trial and error method until I find something that works. LOL!

Some adhesive. A few embellishments (candy brads). And it's finished. Easy peasy!

Now, can I please have some candy?!?!?!?

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Hello... Jeanette here, from the design team. I'm glad you've stopped by the blog today!

Did you see? Have you heard? There are some changes happening with SumMore Fun Challenges.  For instance, the current one is a Sketch challenge... you can find the details HERE

How fun! You can use it upright, or you can turn it on its side. Just use the sketch however it fits your creativity.

I guess you can see that I turned the sketch for my card.

I had some Dirt DP and some Baseball DP so of course I had to use one of my favorite Victorine Originals stamp sets for my card - the Baseball set that you can find HERE. Seriously, I really REALLY like this stamp set!!!

Just look at the detail on that baseball glove stamp:

And the ball in the baseball glove is a brad. It fits perfectly!

The music score (of Take Me Out to the Ballgame)
is also part of the stamp set.

You still have time to participate in the Sketch Challenge. I'll be watching to see what you make.

Sharon, Beth, Amy and Jeanette, you are fantastic. You are the creative backbone of our company and we adore you!

You all have made our stamps come alive.

Without further ado, these are all the lovely people who are joining us in the blog hop!

Sabrina's creative blog is this blog (when she's not busy doing owner stuff), so here are additional cards she created for this new release.

Veteran card photo-takers will relate to the agony of photographing shiny or holographic cards. The right angle which shows off the bling in one place make another part of the card look dull. Here's the best photo I could take!

https://victorine-originals.myshopify.com/products/tangled-tinsel-10319-z

The paper is all from my stash. I love shopping there. (I made this card before I created the digital papers. I would have used the blue snowflakes page with this card if I were to make this again now.)
The ornament was stamped with Black Soot Distress Oxide then embossed with a blue/green/gold glitter embossing powder. Then the string was also stamped with Black Soot Distress Oxide and embossed with gold glitter. I used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide to stamp snowflakes randomly. The sentiment was stamped with Blue Jean Distress Oxide.I used the Gold Kirarina Wink marker to shadow the letters and add the gold line under the sentiment.
As a finishing touch, I used a silver gel pen to color the outer dots on the snowflakes and added a drop of Holographic Pearl Pen to the middle.

New Release Sneak Peek Day 4 You Can

The new release is Tomorrow, Thursday, October 11th!

We have four new sets we can't wait to introduce you to. It's only a day away.

In the mean time, today's set is one very near and dear to SumMore Fun's heart. In April of 2018, Sabrina's mother-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. Six months of driving to treatments and check ups affected us deeply.

We have a page on our website explaining the story behind You Can.

Sabrina created a card for You Can! It all started with the idea of cutting out part of the word and layering it. After a lot of playing around, this is one of the end results. You Can was stamped in Black Soot Distress Oxide on white and yellow card stock. Using the Star Stitch die, she cut out part of the You Can then positioned it over the white paper so the letters lined up. Then the hard part. Picking the paper! She finally settled on some bird feather paper from her stash. The best part is this card can be masculine or feminine and covers many different situations.

Design Team Leader, Sharon Smith created a card for You Can in the breast cancer colors. Fitting as it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month!  Get all the details on her blog, Mollie Moo's Crafty Place.

https://molliemooscraftyplace.blogspot.com/2018/10/sneak-peek-three-yes-you-can.html

Design team member Beth Fiscus created a stunning card using a paper pack dedicated to breast cancer. Get all the details on her blog, Beth's Beauties!

https://nursiebethsbeauties.blogspot.com/2018/10/summore-fun-sneak-peek-day-4-you-can.html

Guest design team member Jamie Wright was busy this week creating five cards for this new stamp set. She went all directions creating a card about cancer and cards that could be used for a variety of occasions. See all the details and the additional cards on her Facebook page Doin' it the Wright Way.

We have three blogs for you to visit and check out the pretties!

What fun would this be without prizes?
None, that's what -and we can't have that!

If you watched our unboxing video, you saw that we ordered a bunch of 6x6 paper packs to play with. We're looking for designs to start monthly kits, but we can't order just one paper pack at a time. We have at least 2 of every design! Want to get one mailed to you for free?

All you have to do to enter is comment here and on each of our design team member's posts. We'll give away a pack each day of the sneak peeks so come back every day this week! Winners of all prizes will be announced on Monday, October 15th, so you have plenty of time to enter.

If you're international and win, we still want it to be fun! You'll have the option of paying for shipping or receiving the digital prize instead.
