Musical Birthday Wishes....

Hello & Happy Thursday Everyone!
DT Theresa here from Theresa's Crafty Creations
and it's my day to take over the blog! YAY!!

 I thought I would share a Birthday card -

I went ALL Rainbow on you guys! LOL

I'm using my Distress Oxides inks - Candied Apple, Squeezed Lemonade,
Lucky Clover, Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch, & Wilted Violet

I started out by blending all my colors together on a piece of white cardstock
then letting it dry completely
Once it was dry I stamped the Music Background with some
versamark ink and poured some Ultra Fine White
Embossing powder over it and heat set it -
Then I die cut it out with a Stitched Postage Frame Die -

I die cut a Stitched Frame Die with some White Cardstock
Then I grabbed a piece of Vellum and stamped the
Happy Birthday Sentiment right onto it with
some black onyx versafine ink and poured some ultra
black embossing powder over it and heat set it -

I thought the Black Embossing on the vellum would stand out
a little better over my rainbow background -

I attached the vellum with some liquid glue behind the
Happy Birthday Sentiment (So it wouldn't show through) then
I wanted a sweet bow, so I grabbed some Berry Trendy Twine
and tied it on the lower portion of my Postage frame
I adhered it to my white piece then attached it to my black cardbase.
For a little extra bling I used some Rainbow Jewels from Lucy's Cards.

Butterfly Trio Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  The card I am sharing today uses Raisin Boat's Imagine and Flourishing Thoughts stamp sets.
I started off by stamping three butterflies from the Imagine stamp set in black ink onto patterned papers from the 6x6 Echo Park Beautiful Life paper pad.  I closed any open outlines with a black gel pen so my Brother Scan N Cut could cut them out for me (no fussy cutting for this gal!).  The sentiment from the Flourishing Thoughts stamp set was also stamped in black.  I layered the card with more papers from the same paper pad and a doily die cut.  For embellishments, I added matte enamel dots.
Remember, we have this Mood Board Challenge going on right now! Here is the inspiration photo for it. You can use the pictures, theme, and/or colors to enter.

I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Watercolor Scenery In A Jar

Hey there! Jessica here from Polka Dot Orchard and I'm back with another scenery building card except for this time I built it in a jar.

All the stamps used to create this wonderful scene are all Victorine Originals stamps sold by SumMore Fun. I used my handy dandy Misti stamping tool the stamp all my images on the some 90 lb Canson watercolor paper (some stamp masking was involved). Using the wet to dry technique, I watercolored this with Prima Watercolor Confections and then fussy cut the finished jar using my Tim Holtz mini scissors.

That amazing butterfly at a top of jar is from the Vctorine Original stamp set {Wings Set} The butterfly wings are stamped and painted the same manner as all the other images except each wing was stamped twice. After I fussy cut the wings I glued them together so that when looked at from the side the wings were pretty underneath as well. I gently rolled up the edges of the wings and then glue them to the jar only at the center part of each wing so the butterfly would actually pop off the card. Other Stamps Used:

The floral pattern paper is from the 6x6 Pebbles Garden Party paper pad. I have a really hard time picking pattern paper because I always paint my images first and then I have to find paper that matches the colors used. I did it differently this time, I pick my paper first and then painted my images to coordinate with my paper. My card front was embellished with some yellow lace ribbon and some clear pinkish sequence. Finishing it off with a sentiment banner stamped with a Victorine Originals sentiment "Thank You So Much".

That last thing to do was the inside of my card. I painted a piece of watercolor paper the same color I painted the jar and then stamped it with the sentiment "You are so Sweet and thoughtful" (the sentiment came from a stamp out of my craft stash). I had some scraps left from the pattern paper used on the front that I ran through my Xyron sticker maker and then used them to trim the watercolor panel on the inside.

Thanks for stopping and I hope I have inspired you in some way.

Happy crafting and have a wonderful day!

Dreamer

Dreamer!!

Good Morning crafty friends.
I here
today to share a
Mixed media canvas I made using one of the new releases.
A Rose by any other name.

I used one of the Rose stamps.
I stamped my image on a craft cardstock and colored it using Spectrum Noir color pencils. I fussy cut it out and set aside.
Using a blank canvas, I added gesso to seal my canvas and using stencils with whipped spackle I was able to add some texture.
I painted with colorbursts, adding water with a spray bottle until I was happy with the look.
After drying I added a dream catcher that I had fixed back up and added my stamped image to it.
This stamp set is amazing and Beautiful!
I then added a few metal finding peices from my stash and the word dreamer.

Pastel Dancer

Good morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place.
Have you seen the stunning new releases that were launched on Monday? If not head over to the store, we have the gorgeous A Rose By Any Other Name which has some stunning roses as well as a good amount of sentiments that you can mix and match.
There is also the stunning dance set On Point I have used this set in my inspiration post today.

These dancers are so elegant and the scripted sentiments also included in the set is so fitting!
I stamped the dancer and the sentiment ballet onto white vellum and heat embossed with fine white powder. I then added some muted color to her using colored pencils.

Isn't she beautiful and she has 2 other dancers in the set!

I used some pale lavender design paper and stamped some of the other images in the set on this. You can currently get the ballet slippers as a free digital stamp here.
I wrapped the vellum around the stamped paper and adhered this to a purple card base. I added white gel pen dots to the vellum to tie in with the white embossing.

You can check out all the new stamps as well as the digital stamps in the online store

Life is a Voyage

Life is a Voyage

Hey crafty friends...
Im here today to share my inspiration project for the current Mood Board Challenge.
I chose to inspire you with a mixed media canvas.

Here is our Mood Board

Here is my project to inspire you.

Using Victorine Originals Map Background stamp, I first stamped my image.
I decided to cut it and make two peices of a map.
Using gesso and my DecoArt paints I created a background color on canvas.
I then attached my map peices.
I used moss and twine as well as a few things from my stash.
I didn't intend for this to go more ocean themed but that's the beauty of art.  Sometimes things just are going to be what they want.

Remember you can use anything from the mood board to inspire you.
Something from a picture or even a color.

Make sure you head over and join in the fun.
