Let it Snow ~ Postcard for Lisa

Good Morning Dreamerz and Happy Wednesday!!

Today is my day to take over the SumMoreFun Designs Blog.

Here's my inspiration for you using:

Blank Postcard to make real postcards
and
Let it Snow

Today I want to share a fast and easy Postcard with you.  I just could not get the thoughts of Winter and my wish for Snow out of my head.  Our Design Team Leader Lisa (check out her amazing projects) just recently got her first snowfall of the season and she was just giddy over the fact she had snow, I admit to being quite jealous as we are patiently waiting for our snow in the part of California where I live. So I created this card for her and will pop it in the mail. NOTE: This Blank Postcard stamp is amazing and I plan to use it quite often, the clarity of how it stamps is perfect and it can be used on a smaller sized postcard as well.

Sadly I had taken quite a few pictures of my process but my desktop computer died and we had to purchase another. So please hop over to my blog today to see a very detailed description of the process.

Happy Birthday Tag

Good Morning Crafty friends.

Starting out with a tag base I made out of cardstock. I glued a piece of torn cardboard to part of the tag to add texture. I then added color and designs using paint and gesso.
I then stamped my images cut them out and placed them on my tag.
I also added a touch of burlap twine and some home-made flowers.

Let's BEE Friends Forever!

Happy Saturday,
Heather here and it is my day to take over the blog and I reached for the absolutely adorable "Wild About Ewe, Honey!" stamp set by Raisin Boat.  I mean this set just could not get any cuter if it tried.  So, I started with a 6 x 6 piece of card stock from a paper pad entitled Color Splash that I had in my craft room and used the Ombre Yellow cut down to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and cut the windows from the front with a die in my stash, after cutting the windows I then ran the front panel through my die cutting machine with am embossing folder in a Honeycomb pattern.  I set that aside and worked on my layout and design. I began with the large bee in the stamp set and stamped it out with Black Onyx Ink on the top cut out. For the middle cut out I stamped the remainder of the bee's swirl and then I took the honeycomb image and masked it off and then just stamped out the little bees, for the last cut out I chose to use the sentiment "Let's Bee friends forever"  I adhered the honeycomb piece direct to a top fold A2 sized Kraft card stock base and then I used fun foam on the cut out pieces to pop them up off the panel for added dimension.  I scattered some sequins in three different gold hues around the card and used glossy accents to adhere them and finished it all off by adding some Spectrum Noir Glitter Gloss to the bees.

Our current challenge is still running, so please hop on over and join us.  I have attached links below to the challenge post and the stamps I have used.  See you all soon!

Never Far Apart + Nippon Post

Hi and welcome, everyone! Lisa from The Relativity of Paper with you today and I'm sharing a card featuring the Victorine Originals Nippon Post Stamps.  I have a STEP-BY-STEP VIDEO on my blog and YouTube channel.

Nippon Post (Set of 3 Stamps)

The inspiration for this card came from a piece of paper in my stash. My initial intention was to pair the stamps with the paper. However, after stamping these gorgeous images with dye inks, a little gold embossing powder, and a touch of pigment powder I decided the image could stand on its own. The beautiful paper will have to wait until another day.

Even though I do a lot of stamping techniques on this card the process is fast. I hope you'll check the video tutorial out and give it a try.

As always, thanks for joining me today!

Sewing Shirt Card

Good Morning!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today. The card I am sharing with you uses stamps from Victorine Originals' Sewing set which I absolutely LOVE!
I started by stamping the background paper with images from that set in VersaFine Onyx Black ink.  I layered up the card using more patterned papers from DCWV's Hello Darlin' stack and finished with the top layer of a shirt that was cut from a My Scrap Chick SVG.  I added more stamping to the shirt.
I embellished with button brads, ruler washi tape, enamel dots, and a sentiment tag that was tied with Watermelon Taffy Trendy Twine.
Here is a close up of stamping and all the different layers!  You can find more details on this card on my blog.
Remember, we have this Mood Board Challenge going on right now! Here is the inspiration photo for it. You can use the pictures, theme, and/or colors to enter.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!

Flower Box

Good morning, Sharon here from Mollie Moo's Crafty Place taking over the blog today.

Today's card is a folding flower box creating using 2 stamp sets:

I made up a card box and decorated this with pretty pink, white and turquoise papers. I then used the Curly Cute Stamp set to stamp out a number of flowers and framed flowers in the same colors. The frames were cut out and placed around each side of the box. I fussy cut the single flowers and glued these to strips of acetate and attached them at different heights inside the box.

I then stamped the frame again and added a sentiment from the Brush Floral stamp set into the center of this. Again this was cut out and added to the back of the box:

The box is made in such away that it will fold and fit inside a 6x6in envelope.

The colors look darker if the photos but they are perfect for the moodboard challenge over on the blog:

Happy Birthday to you!

We just finished celebrating birthdays at my household, but I'm still in the birthday mood. With one birthday right after Christmas and the other a couple weeks into January, I feel like we celebrate for weeks. But my kids would say there's nothing wrong with that!

Our new mood board is so gorgeous; have you seen it yet? I couldn't make just one card that went along with it. I can't wait to have more time and make a scrapbook page that goes along with it as well; the colors are right up my alley!

I started my background by using my new distress oxide inks. I swiped onto the paper, spritzed with water, dried and then flicked a couple colors off my paint brush as well. Once I was satisfied with the background, I stamped the Victorine Originals Festively Wrapped Gift all over in two coordinating colors.

This Victorine Originals Happy Birthday stamp is so perfect that it doesn't need anything extra to stand out on a card! I matted it on pink cardstock and centered it on the card.

To finish off the card, I added some multi-colored twine along the edge. Simple, but perfect (I think).

Thanks for checking out my latest creation; I'm so happy to have more time again to get to create like I want.

Don't forget to check out our newest mood board and enter your creations! The options are endless with these boards - you can go by theme, color or pictures for your inspiration!

Happy crafting!

Happy Birthday Monkey!!

Hello & Happy Thursday Everyone!
DT Theresa here from Theresa's Crafty Creations
and it's my day to take over the blog -- YAY for me... 😃

Today I thought I would share a Birthday
Card I made for a Teacher at School --

I got real inky making this card -- I'm using the ADORABLE
Monkeying Around Stamp set by Raisin Boat

Here's how I made it --

I started by Stamping the Monkey Image in Memento Rich Cocoa ink
Then I stamped the second monkey on some masking paper - then cut it out
I covered my Brown monkey with the masking paper then
proceeded to stamp the Balloon strings in Memento Tuxedo Black ink
I wanted them to overlap in my monkey's hand

Then I stamped my balloons in Memento Teal Zeal, & Lulu Lavender
Then in Hero Arts Soft Pink, & Ultra Pink
I made masks for my Balloons as well
because I wanted to create the cloud background --

Once everything was masked off -- I pulled out my
Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass, Broken China, & Faded Jeans
then I grabbed my Mini Cloud Stencil
I worked from the top down, using the darkest color first
and I kept rotating my stencil so my clouds would
be different on each row --

Once I finished stenciling, I sprayed my card design with some
Frost Shimmer Spritz Spray and dabbed it up with a paper towel
Then I used my Heat tool to dry my card piece completely
after it was dried I pulled the mask pieces up to reveal
my images --

I felt my Balloons and Monkey needed SPARKLE
since I was giving this to a female teacher -
So I pulled out some of my Spectrum Noir Sparkle
Pens in Rose Quartz, Pink Garnet, Inspired Violet, & Blue Topaz
and colored up the balloons with them --
Then I used my Clear Wink of Stella pen on my Monkey

I used my Black Micron Pen on the balloon strings, just so they
would POP more --- After I was happy with my design
I die cut it out with a Stitched Rectangle die -
Giving me a 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 card piece

I triple tied some Pink Twine and attached it by the
monkey hand with some Multi Medium glue --
Then attached my card piece to a piece of Fun Foam
so it would give it more dimension --

I found a matching Pink Cardstock piece - And die cut
a Scalloped Stitched Die with it
Then I attached the pink Scallop to my White card base
I added my Monkey design to my card base and then
I Die cut a Stitched Banner and stamped
the Happy Birthday Sentiment
Attached it to my card front and that was it!!

Happy Birthday #3

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!!

Today is my day to take over the SumMoreFun Designs Blog.

Here's my inspiration for you using:

Happy Birthday 2871
and
Backgrounds Set

Today I want to share a fast and easy Birthday card with you.  The whole month I will be doing Birthday cards.

Card Recipe:
Using a piece of Neenah 80lb white card stock I stamped the Background Set/Stick Splatter all over the paper using versamark to which I applied WOW Clear Gloss super fine embossing powder and heat set I then applied Distress ink In Peacock Feathers to the whole panel. I then used versamark to stamp the Happy Birthday and applied WOW Clear Gloss super fine embossing powder and heat set. Distress Ink was once again used in Wilted Violet.  That cute little bow was die cut using a piece of scrap card stock that I distress inked with Peacock Feathers lightly. I glued the bow to the bottom of the balloon die cut layer and affixed a heart enamel dot this gives a nice little touch of sparkle to the bow.  I added a layer of foam to the backside of the balloon layer and glued it to the top of the splatter panel.  Finally the whole thing was attached to a piece of Neenah 110lb card stock cut to A2 size side fold card.

Thanks!!

Thanks!!

Hey crafty friends. Amy here to share a thank you card using Raisin Boat's stamp set Curly cute.
This set is so cute and you can do anything with these stamps because they are so versatile.

I wanted to continue to learn about different backgrounds since my last project for our current challenge.
"Try Something New".
You can find it HERE...
And its still going on until Thursday!!
Hint..hint..

Using oxide inks, on water color paper, I spread them around with my distress tool until I was happy with the colors.
I then added a few drops of water and dabbed it up right away.
After drying, I stamped a pretty little flower from the Curly cute set in black.
I also stamped the thanks sentiment and swirly design under that on a seperate peice and colored the background just a touch.
Im finding these backgrounds to be super fun.

Isnt this neat?
